Something about Rwandans' fondness for Uganda intrigues me.
Even when discriminated against, they still like to associate with Uganda.
2022 research of the most Googled country in each country showed the No. 1 in Rwanda not the US, Belgium, UK, or France, but Uganda.
I told Mrs Obote they should be proud of themselves.
In their first term, maybe they were naïve and didn't think of looting the country.
They spent nine bitter years in exile.
They returned to power in 1980 but even with a second chance, they still didn't loot.
Rare people!
What other countries do is that they beg their best brains to serve in key decision-making positions. But at the altar of politics, we have sidelined ours – bse they are allegedly, opposition (sth like, they don’t love country enough):
Abdu Katuntu (one of the best brains in law). Nandala Mafabi (immense experience with cooperatives, worked with World Bank). Gen. Mugisha Muntu (a most decorated & honest soldier). Dr Sarah Bireete (a very astute activist on good governance). Andrew Mwenda. Robert Kabushenga. Winnie Kizza. Kin Kariisa, among others.
Instead, national decision-making is gift platforms to old comrades or their children, love affairs, & loyalists. Kitalo ddala.

I have grown up admiring @cobbo3 because of the incisive delivery of his thoughts. He is a https://t.co/qIECh3DWO9.
Last Saturday, in my interview with @gossip__live, I said as much about PLU and credited the IP of the current script (political bad manners clothed in anti-corruption attire) being played on AAA to the Ssabalwanyi @KagutaMuseveni. Once the Ssabalwanyi goes, PLU will have to contend with the Anti-Museveni and Anti-MK machine and it is when they will learn that politics is war.
In June 2013, I wanted to contest for the @OfficialFUFA Presidency. The law was quickly amended to keep me out. I am back to say I am still available for that task. I can bring about the footballing glory all we Ugandans dream of. Time to save our football from thieves. Let’s take back our game
Politicians are the biggest weather readers: Uganda MPs, dignitaries flock Oboth Oboth thanksgiving ceremony. Oboth is seen as a replacement of Annet Anita Among as Speaker of Parliament.

Prior to 2016, Anita Among had contested & failed. If you want to know what Anita did in 2016 to win, ask Badru Kiggundu. He will never forget what blinded him. You people know what Anita did in 2026, the things she did in 2016 are crazier. Her power & influence is from Mr. M7
The oldest member who was recently returned to the Uganda Parliament is ailing retired Brigadier Moses Ali (L), 87, who’s been in govt variously since the military rule of Idi Amin in the 1970s. The youngest is Lenia Charity Kevin .@Leniacharity, at just 24 (R).
In a continent ruled by very old men, Lenia at 24 is very young by African parliamentary standards, yet she is not the youngest ever. Several politicians who entered the national (not provincial) parliament younger than her.
Some notable examples:
•Proscovia Alengot Oromait — Uganda. Elected MP in 2012 at just 19, becoming Africa’s youngest MP at the time.
•Francisca Oteng-Mensah — Ghana. Elected to Parliament at 23, then became a deputy minister.
•John Paul Mwirigi — Kenya. Elected MP for Igembe South at 23 in 2017, then Kenya’s youngest elected MP.
•Emma Theofelus — Namibia. Entered Parliament and became deputy minister at 23; later rose to cabinet minister.
•Yusuf Cassim — South Africa. Became the youngest MP in South African national history at 24 in 2014.
In various Sunday Monitor columns, I argued that Uganda's Board of Directors sits in Brussels, London, and Washington, with M7 as Country Manager.
The Board has rejected Among as Speaker.
This same Board is opposed to an MK presidency.
So, PLU is just a shadow boxing club.
