The other thing to remember when we talk about looking after renters - it’s not a 50:50 even balance of renters:landlords thing. It’s the health, well-being, stability of a huge proportion of NZ vs the entitlement to making easy money for a much smaller number.
Now takes over 15 min for the bus to to get from Patiki to Te Atatu in peak thanks to @WakaKotahiAkNth converting the bus lane to a general lane as part of the north-western "bus" improvements. @PhilTwyford@HendoWest@BrookeLoader are we going to prompt them on this? Horrendous!
My bus has taken 23 mins to get from the bottom of Albert St to the corner of Wyndham & Hobson St. Your city centre bus routes don't work anymore @AklTransport
Ngā mihi nui Twitter and everyone who is donating to our flood relief fund! It will help 15 smaller communities who are routinely cut off to be reconnected to power and have emergency communications.

We need to talk about this, the only communication to Aucklanders about yesterday's catastrophic weather event from Auckland Council's social media account, posted at least six hours after the heaviest rain began. It's not an update or bulletin, it's a PR defence of the mayor.
1/4 A very trying night for many Aucklanders. In my patch this is the worst flooding I have ever seen and more may come overnight. The best advice remains that issued by Auckland Emergency Management. Please follow this to keep you and your Whanau safe:
Morena... if you haven't already, please sign this petition for an urgent inquiry into forestry slash in Tairawhiti, its being presented to council TODAY.
If you have already signed, then please RT/share on your channels.

This must be up there as one of the most complete performances in the @BLACKCAPS limited overs history? Considering the occasion, the opposition etc. Massive #AUSvNZ#T20WorldCup
🇳🇿 NEW ZEALAND WIN! 🇳🇿
It's the Black Caps' first win over Australia in Australia in any format since 2011 and what a way to do it - they win by 89 runs. 👏

Farmers make up:
- 1.16% of the population 🙋💁♀️
- 5.5% of GDP 🥛🥩💲
- 48% of greenhouse gas emissions 🐄🐑
- 70% of NZ's contribution to global warming 🌏🔥
A price on livestock emissions is reasonable and rooted in science.
