BUT i also think no matter what, bailey would’ve been involved/ been taken by varys even if chatty hadnt shot beric. simply because of berics involvement with ray, varys’ attention shifted to him and to those around him, including bailey

chatty shooting beric may have been the initial reason for bailey getting involved/invested, BUT beric consistently ignoring the warnings and continuing to be w ray led to bailey being kidnapped and his ‘contract.’
