Evolving threat 🚨 CVE-2026-111497, previously known to affect Node.js (node2shell) and Python has evolved into “HTTP2Shell.”
A significant blast radius.
This vulnerability leaves many libraries and applications using HTTP vulnerable to pre-auth RCE via Brotli decompression.
Please be aware. Fixes not yet available for all affected services. Look for Brotli (1.2.1) dependency upgrades when they become available.
Security updates to check today (Oct 23) 🧵
• pip/certifi: emSign CAs distrusted. Old pip trusts them even if your OS doesn't → pip 26.2.2+, then certifi, in every venv
• Next.js: 2 critical unauth RCEs → 16.4.1 / 15.5.28
• Pillow: 8 advisories via crafted images → 13.0.0
One more — should have led with this:
• PHP2Shell (CVE-2026-109618/109619): unauth RCE in PHP itself, exploited in the wild → 8.2.35 / 8.3.36 / 8.4.27 / 8.5.12
• Next.js: can't upgrade yet? Make sure sharp ≥0.35.5 (blocks the SVG RCE only, not the use cache one)
A single Claude skill just passed 164,000 stars on GitHub.
It's called Ponytail.
And it makes your agent code like that senior dev who never writes a line more than needed.
The one who looks at your 50 lines and replaces them with one.
Version 5 just dropped:
→ 53% less code
→ 41% less time
→ 26% lower cost
→ 45% fewer tokens
And the crazy part:
It writes half the code, but doesn't skip the testing.
98% of critical code ships with a test to make sure it works.
Without the skill, only 68%.
Real example:
You ask it to add a date picker.
Without the skill → builds one from scratch in 335 lines
With Ponytail → uses the browser's built-in one in 10 lines
Why it matters to you:
If you code with agents, you pay for every line they write.
Less code = fewer tokens, fewer bugs and less to maintain.
Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot and 15+ other agents.

Day 12/
We’ve made improvements to Codex & Work that increase the effective usage you get. We achieved this by reusing context across subagents, keeping context cached longer, and improved request routing that allows us to increase cache hits.
We just let in every Pro and Max user from the Claude Code Projects waitlist!
