Nkumba University Women's Volleyball Team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing Aporu Akol Memorial Volleyball Championship in Kumi District.
The victory sets up a do or die Entebbe Derby against neighbours KCB Nkumba as both sides battle for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, Nkumba University's men's team has also continued its impressive run at the tournament after advancing to the quarter-finals.
The two teams are among the standout performers at this year's championship as they continue to represent the university with distinction in Kumi.

Amidst heavy criticism and hate speech from very many players, this man @eddykenzoficial managed to convince the government to put the creative sector on the list of sectors they plan for.
This is a sector that had been neglected by government for the longest yet it employs very many Ugandans who are tax payers like others.
Eddy Kenzo paused whatever was making him busy including his international music business and started knocking these government offices one by one with negotiation as his approach , not riots, social media campaigns or fights but through negotiations and they gave him the attention.
He showed them the need for government to support the creative sector, he showed them what government looses when they donβt support the creatives and how they can benefit if they support this sector.
When govt was fully convinced, H.E the president appointed Eddy Kenzo to advise him on this very sector & as we speak today , the creative sector has appeared in the national budget for the second time with UGX 33B.
This is not money diverted from making roads or hospitals, No. those have been given theirs too , this money has been allocated to support the creative sector ππ.
I want you @eddykenzoficial to know that your time has not been wasted, youβve played your part so well and the future generations will read about you, not only as a creative that sold Ugandan content to the world but also as a leader that transformed the creative sector in Uganda.
