Gabi on being asked whom he'd like to meet at the Olympics:
“I think Marta Silva, for everything she has achieved in women's football and for our national team. It's a pride for all Brazilians to have her representing us" and he'd like to have a photo with her #Tokyo2020 🇧🇷
A lot of players like Tierney, ESR and Xhaka left without ever getting to lift the Prem Trophy with us. I’m genuinely glad Martinelli got to leave with a major trophy to his name. He’ll always be one of our own. He played a big part in getting this club back to where it belongs.
@_ParikshitTyagi link link. I by the way stopped eating dark chocolate after realising (and checking) they actually have a lot of sugar because they have to cut off the bitterness
Don’t think I’ll write a Nelli tribute. Not worth it and wouldn’t do him justice, what I know, I know , one of my favorite ever players and most mismanaged talent of the arteta era, halted a great ceiling. I’ll see him soon back at the big stage soon enough.
It’s a shame that for the first time since 2022/23 we are an elite team at ball progression again and we are selling him. Players like that need the ball played vertical and fast.
Staunch Arteta advocate as you’re probably aware, since he’s joined the club. Equally, I don’t portray the man as infallible. Nonetheless, he is elite.
But I’ve always believed (and still do) that Gabriel Martinelli is the one player he hasn’t been able to unlock post 22/23. Doesn’t mean the player is absolved from responsibility. Nuance exists.
But I feel he could have got way more out of Gabi. A shame really.
