New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can.
Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment.
A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
@KingpinThawne And it makes me laugh because it’s like they forget this entire show is about “the Avatar and the Firelord” and how that friendship was broken and only in mending that friendship generations later is how we stop this on going era of hatred. But let’s leave out Roku
@TinuoyeBoluwat3 But I think the maturity of the writing in the OG is the fact that we were watching Irohs redemption arc thru Zuko’s storyline. We know what’s on the other side for Zuko - it’s Iroh. So I was indifferent to this arc, as I feel it disjoints their character dynamic
@TinuoyeBoluwat3 Which makes sense. Why Irohs wisdom in the OG comes from a place of acceptance and appreciation of the highs and lows of what life offers. Now for the the LA I get this new arc feels cool. But it does make Iroh’s “wisdom” (which feels so incredibly forced already) seem unearned
@calebsmxlti Just gunna be annoying and share what others have shared because I didn’t learn all of this about the show just to not tweet in moments like this…Azula shot Aang in the foot and the lightning exited from his back. In B3C7: you can see the entry wound
