Excited to announce that invention from Dr. Nirmalya Ganguli’s lab (Scientist, @HydNiab) "Method of Establishment of Efficient Immortalization Strategy for Primary GMEC," has been granted an Indian Patent (Patent No. 594406).
Envisioned as a premier annual flagship event, FiAB will be organized by the BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (@HydNiab) during the first week of November every year.
This year's inaugural edition is scheduled to take place from 3rd to 6th, November 2026, at our campus in Hyderabad, India.
FiAB aims to establish a global platform bringing together leading scientists, researchers, and innovators to discuss groundbreaking advancements, address critical challenges, and shape the future of animal biotechnology.
The conference will delve into cutting-edge themes, including livestock health, transgenics, genomics, reproductive biotechnology, and One Health initiatives.
The inaugural edition of FiAB will center on a critical challenge impacting livestock health and dairy economics globally. The dedicated theme for FiAB 2026 is "Mastitis – Diagnosis, Therapy and Beyond." The conference will serve as a high-level platform to bridge foundational science with translational solutions.
We aim to explore the complete spectrum of the disease, moving from advanced diagnostics to cutting-edge therapeutic strategies and alternative interventions.
Event Highlights:
• Preconference workshop: 3.11.2026 – 4.11.2026
• Conference: 5.11.2026 – 6.11.2026
• Venue: BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (BRIC-NIAB), Hyderabad, India
• Format: In-person sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops
We look forward to welcoming you to BRIC-NIAB this November.

Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri livid at ICC’s mid-match activity during India-West Indies match:
Gavaskar - You’ve a laser thing going on. This is the WC, and for two and a half minutes, do you need this kind of entertainment? In the IPL, that is fine. In the World Cup, do we need these laser shows in the middle of the drinks break.
Shastri - And from the players’ point of view, to switch back on, is never easy. It’s serious stuff.
