2BlackGeeks

2BlackGeeks is no longer a thing and Elaine is moving to @1BlackGeek to continue her reign of madness. Thanks for your support all this time!

2BG possible return news. Keep an eye out.

Noticed some people have been revisiting the #2BlackGeeks video archive on vimeo (https://t.co/F5m7o4S6ir) thanks for stopping by!

If you're a new fan of mine & don't know about 2BG you can find about 3 years of videos here: https://t.co/dfwde0xint

Couple of people sent messages asking where I've been. I've been tweeting from @1BlackGeek for a while now. 2BG is no more. Follow me there.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

NOTE TO FOLLOWERS : I'm no longer tweeting under 2BlackGeeks. I'm now at @1BlackGeek if you want to follow my media madness and other stuff.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

Notice to followers: I'm going to tweet from @1BlackGeek from now on since 2BG is over. If you want to follow me that's great. If not, cool.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

I suppose maybe I should start using my @1BlackGeek account then? What do you guys think? Since 2BG as a show is pretty much dead ...

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

I do have a personal twitter for myself but I don't use it too much. It's mostly my health updates and such. Boring stuff.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

A couple of people asked why I still tweet under 2BlackGeeks when it's really just me and Laurence isn't even online really. Dunno. Habit?

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

If you don't want people to FREELY use your work then don't put it up on a PUBLIC DOWNLOAD site and tell people to ENJOY it.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

To give away your work for FREE for YEARS and then turn around and call the people that use your work "freeloaders" is just stupid.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

... but at the same time it never mattered to you before when $$ wasn't an issue ... so why is your work suddenly now about $$ value to YOU.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

I think hearing someone tell you that they don't think your work and passion is worth $1 is probably a huge blow to your ego ...

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

If I were to attempt to put an $$ amount on the value I gained over the years from fansubs I'd be broke. Same with gaming mods.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

A couple of fansubbers I know do fansubs because they want the subs for themselves anyway and why not share them? It's not about $$.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

I don't think people should determine their personal worth or their worth to others with dollar signs ... that also makes no sense.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

This is about perceived value. Because someone won't give you $1 for something you did doesn't mean your value is less than that $1 ...

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

But to say you feel under appreciated when someone won't give you money for something you have been doing free for years makes no sense.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

Any #Skyrim mod I ever used for more than a day I donated to. Same with fansubs. I'm throwing money at anyone who will take it.

[2BlackGeeks @2BlackGeeks]

The whole #Skyrim modders thing makes me think about the fansubbing community ... I wonder if they're just as volatile about pennies ...
