Watching replay later (if you have it) doesn’t cut it.

@danbrettig What are the motivations for private ownership especially IPL owners, how are they making money? Unless Indian players come to play, there’s no increase in gate & tv revenue. They are buying control of game in AUS. That cannot be allowed in exchange for cash that will dry up.

@PaulDennett_ The like the World Cup final in 2019 and last night wickets taken should be 1st tie breaker. New Zealand bowled England out like South Africa did last night to Afghanistan. That should be rewarded & more weighted if a tie breaker is required. As for a 2nd & 3rd tie breaker….🤷🏽‍♂️

@Arnavv43 It’s a Mickey Mouse tournament, it’s held so often purely for revenue. Scarcity brings meaning & prestige, like Olympics, FIFA WC & ODI WC. Who remembers or cares about T20 WC coz its played too much, but we can recall historic ODI WC moments from 1975, 1983, 1992, 1999 & 2011

RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN SAID 🗣️:-

"R Ashwin has questioned the excitement and structure of the upcoming T20 World Cup, saying the tournament no longer carries the same anticipation it once did.
He pointed out that fixtures like India vs USA or India vs Namibia fail to create World Cup hype and instead dilute the competition. Ashwin recalled how earlier World Cups (1992,1996) were special because they happened once every four years, building massive excitement among fans."

“Back then, India played England, Sri Lanka in the first round itself. Now that anticipation is missing,” Ashwin said, highlighting how frequent tournaments and mismatched games have reduced the charm of the World Cup.
