Carlos Lagrange made his first "true" bullpen appearance tonight, entering the game in the middle of the 7th
Line: 2.2 IP/3 H/ 1 R/ 1 BB/ 3 K
Big thing I noticed was the velo, with 6 pitches over 101 mph; much more consistent 99+ velo out of the pen
Nasty 95 mph "slider" 🔥⬇️

NEW: Here's a look at the massive U.S. military presence now spread across the Middle East.
According to U.S. Navy officials, nearly 20,000 American sailors and Marines are currently at sea aboard two aircraft carriers — USS Abraham Lincoln and USS George H.W. Bush — along with 18 guided-missile destroyers, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and more than a dozen air squadrons.
The assets are spread across the Eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea, North Arabian Sea, and Arabian Sea, where U.S. forces are helping defend Israel, counter Houthi threats, conduct operations involving Iran, and support maritime security in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
The naval force is part of roughly 50,000 U.S. troops currently deployed throughout the Middle East.

BREAKING: Karmelo Anthony broke down in tears as the guilty verdict was read, visibly shaking while his defense attorney comforted him. Anthony was convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf and now faces the possibility of life in prison.
During the sentencing phase, Anthony’s mother tearfully pleaded for mercy, describing him as her firstborn son and expressing her deep love for him. Prosecutors challenged her testimony by asking whether she could still maintain a relationship with her son if he were incarcerated — a possibility the Metcalf family no longer has with Austin. The same jury will now decide Anthony’s sentence.

Following the story by the New York Times on the U.S. Army AH-64 Apache that was downed near the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed both reports that it went down and the rescue of the two crew members, saying that the helicopter went down near the coast of Oman. Per the CENTCOM release, both soldiers were rescued within two hours of the helicopter going down and rescue efforts were led by U.S. Naval Forces CENTCOM and the 82nd Airborne Division. Additional naval and Air Force units provided support. Notably, no reason is provided for the helicopter’s downing, as per CENTCOM, “the cause of the incident is under investigation.”
