@B80748543@pomegranatist yeah thats a bit pedantic lol. ppl are referring to the nation by title, not by population. If you want to get super literal, u could start talking about whether or not the players themselves are perpertators or victims of colonization. but thats boring and lame
@pomegranatist i think ur arguing against a different point.. Colonizer vs Colonized clearly refers to the historical context of each nation in the World Cup, not the current population. By that same logic, Spain shouldnt be referred to as the colonzier, since its demographic has changed.
@B80748543@pomegranatist what kind of definition of "Colonized" are you working with?? Its basic history that these countries were colonized. Wtf do the "leaders" have to do with anything
@cbend88@NoContextCanMNT our top striker performed so well this world cup! it’s so laughable that u think him scoring a hat trick against a 9 man Qatar side meant anything. This morroco game exposed what we all already knew.
@joshdeming_ Millar will lob a through ball on Davies and he will volley into the net. But wait, VAR has reviewed the play and the sensor in Alphonso’s butthole has detected a nanogram of his balls touched the ball’s plastic fibers behind the last defender. Offside. Canada blows up
@cbend88@NoContextCanMNT Did i say he’s a shit player? You’re getting mad at numbers. The stats say he’s lost his ability. It’s up to him to prove you right, which he has not done so far. How are you so pressed over Twitter? Lol. Are you related to Jonathan David or something??
@cbend88@NoContextCanMNT LOL the answer is unequivocally yes, based on the data, he has less ability of finishing the ball than he has in the past. The numbers u keep referring to are literally proving my point. He has had a fall off in consistency and goal scoring ability. What are we arguing here???
@cbend88@NoContextCanMNT Stop referring to career stats, that’s the opposite of the point. He USED to be good. He HASNT BEEN for a while. It’s not always due physical skill or bad luck. He has scored 6 goals in 35 Serie A appearances. 3 goals in 12 caps for Canada last 12 months. That’s a fall off
@cbend88@NoContextCanMNT notice how u pivoted to stats from 2 years ago. No one is arguing David was a great striker. But he hasn’t been for some time. At Juventus and for Team Canada. That’s the point, he’s lost his touch. We need him to get back to his form
