@devafrommercury I never understand why people took issue with that voiceline. Skarner's story says he misses listening to the Brackern sing, of course he would want to hear Seraphine's crystal.
@Bloatygoof Its really hard to combat misinformation from large creators, and it led to a ton of unnecessary hate to Seraphine’s writers and fans. To this day Necrit has a reputation for putting a ton of research and time into his videos but its apparent he did not for Sera’s release.
@Bloatygoof The major issue is that videos like Necrit’s appealed to his ethos as “the lore guy,” but his video did not have the time or consideration needed to make a fair conclusion. Much of his audience are not going to go through evidence and they trust him to make reliable conclusions.
@Bloatygoof Seraphine gets skins because people keep buying them. It’s reasonable for people who pay for skins to expect the company to keep producing content for them.
@Bloatygoof Legends of Runeterra gave us insights into her following in Zaun/Pilt, as well as how she became a pop star. However, it did nothing to change established lore. It took two sentences from her bio and illustrated them. If you only like LOR Sera, you just didn’t read her bio well
@Bloatygoof I think you can make the argument her social media were parasocial, but they never used her Twitter as a direct way to ask for money, she mainly talked about being a creative, following your dreams, and to listen to her music. Where was the harm?
@Bloatygoof Seraphine dual release was a good way to justify the K/DA marketing money. Her kit was also much easier to recreate for Wild Rift and didn’t need redesigns to fit in the mobile format
