@HoodieRome He should be working on core strength and COD through reactive plyometrics. Would have a much greater transfer. After all that is what helped him avoid the defender and get out of the pocket from the video, not dodging a punching bag lol.
@HoodieRome Im not trying to convince you of anything. And I dont have the full context of this drill. My main issue is accounts like this posting training and acting like it’s revolutionary. But basic knowledge of ess says this isnt contributing to his skill. Time could be better spent
@HoodieRome Thats like saying a football player should do the same drills as a baseball player, or any sport for that matter. If by footwork you mean hes moving his feet, the yes footwork is involved. This drill isnt very good in the same sense that speed ladders don’t build speed or agility
@HoodieRome And I mean no disrespect to you either by disagreeing, but I am speaking with knowledge of training. This isn’t benefiting him much, if at all.
@HoodieRome I actually am speaking solely from experience. He’s using a very predictable stimuli. The fact that he’s sweating does not mean he’s getting better, only that he’s burning calories. What do you mean by footwork?Because there will be no increase in agility or speed from this drill
