This raises serious questions. Some people now joke that late President Buhari died, resurrected, and continues ruling as a “ghost president.” Is it really wrong after all? It seems Mazi Nnamdi Kanu may have a point.
Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the head of the Al-Furqan Province linked to ISGS and ISWAP, was reportedly killed on May 4, 2024. The Nigerian military officially announced that he had been killed alongside eight other commanders, and their names were published.
The Nigerian Army stood firmly by its statement.
However, on May 15, 2026,Trump and Tinubu jointly announced that U.S. and Nigerian forces had again killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki in a “meticulously planned” operation — the same name and supposedly the same man, two years later.
I am beginning to believe Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s claim that a ghost ruled Nigeria for seven good years, because I have seen that nothing is impossible in Nigeria.
On May 4, 2024, the Nigerian military officially announced they had killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the head of Is-Al Furqan Province (ISGS and ISWAP), along with eight other commanders. The names were published. The Nigerian Army stood behind every word.
Yesterday — May 15, 2026 — President Trump and President Tinubu jointly announced that U.S. and Nigerian forces had killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki in a “meticulously planned” operation. Same name. Same man. Two years later.
How do you kill a dead man?
You don’t. Either the 2024 announcement was a lie, or the 2026 announcement is. Or both are spin. Take your pick.
Now look at who was in Washington last week. Nuhu “Bugsy” Ribadu, Tinubu’s National Security Adviser, met with Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, Defense Secretary Hegseth, and the Under Secretary for Political Affairs. Three days of meetings. Nine days later, Tinubu and Trump are taking a joint victory lap over a corpse Ribadu’s own government already buried in 2024.
This is the same Ribadu who signed the contract bringing DCI Group on board with a $9M lobbying agreement to launder Nigeria’s image in Washington. The same DCI Group that has spent that money attacking the credibility of survivors who lost their families to the very killers Ribadu’s office calls “our brothers.”
And this is the same regime where Massad Boulos — President Trump’s Senior Advisor for Africa — is personally profiting from multi-billion-dollar no-bid contracts — a total of 74% of Nigeria’s federal budget last year! — issued by Tinubu to his longtime crony and client. Trump’s top man on Nigeria is on the take from the Nigerian president he is supposed to be holding accountable.
Eleven years of this. 185,000 dead. 19,000 churches destroyed. 10 to 12 million displaced. Mourners shot at burials. Berom defenders sentenced to hang. Christian survivors arrested while killers walk. The Sultan calling jihadis hellbound from a podium while he has not named one of them in twenty years.
And the Washington playbook is to celebrate the kill of a man who was already officially dead.
We need answers.
Which announcement was a lie?
Something is rotten in Nigeria. And the stink is drifting through Washington.

“No Steady Power in Four Years, No Second Term” – Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu’s campaign promise in 2022 was clear: “If I do not provide steady electricity in my first four years, do not vote for me for a second term.” Yet, in January 2026 alone, the national grid has already collapsed twice, and the month is not even over. Last year, it collapsed about twelve times. This reality sharply contradicts the promise and should worry every patriotic Nigerian.
At the same time, the President is on another foreign trip, this time to Turkey, a country of about 87 million people—roughly a third of Nigeria’s population. Yet Turkey generates and distributes over 120,000 megawatts of electricity, while Nigeria struggles with less than 5% of that capacity. The contrast is both striking and painful.
Our appeal is simple: stay at home and confront the nation’s problems. At this rate, we may soon hear of trips to Palau or Vanuatu while critical issues remain unattended at home.
And yet, our collective preoccupation seems to be the next election, rather than how to secure good governance. We should be joining hands to demand accountability and responsible leadership, and to save Nigerians from the indignity and suffering caused by persistent bad governance

2026 Is Not The First Time Biafran Separatists Lobbied America Against Nigeria. They Did Same In 1967. it Failed Then. It Will Fail Now! A United Nigeria and America Are Partners!
Is Peter Obi a Nigerian or a Biafran?
Nigerians must never forget that when Biafran groups spent millions on US lobbying contracts to tarnish Nigeria's image, Peter Obi said NOTHING. However, when Nigeria was forced to spend millions to counter Biafran separatists' lobbying efforts against Nigeria, Peter Obi cried and danced naked in public, calling the funds a waste!
Should Nigeria have folded its hands and allowed the same Biafra groups, whose leaders, like Nnamdi Kanu, Peter Obi has previously defended, to destroy our reputation?
Nigeria needs a President that stands up for Nigeria, not one who defends Biafra!
