@MetroUK So NHS staff like me - a paediatric Physiotherapist who flags up/refers children with issue to Doctors, educates teachers, ensures neurologically challenged conditions are properly managed only got 5%. I know it's only 1% but it feels unfair.
@MsHelicat Yep an amazing pool which I'm enjoying ploughing up and down....in the rain. Currently enjoying a brief ceasefire from rain! ๐Just a heads up NEVER go to Thailand in August...
The government has announced a flat rate pay increase of ยฃ1400 for NHS staff in England, backdated to 1st April.
We will now consult members on how they feel about this offer, and we cannot rule out consideration of industrial action as part of that.

@charliersmith1 That's fantastic news! May I ask if you had a hybrid of therapy and meds or just meds or therapy. My sister refuses meds and feels she can overcome without. I struggle with this option.
@NeighboursTV This makes me so sad, but here in the UK I'll continue to ensure that I'll always be a good neighbour to those around me. Thanks for all the memories! #Neighbours
@TxPhysio@clinicalphysio @JonathanTopp2 @thecsp It may be coming from the cohorts themselves or as I've previously said, the more mature graduates wanting to progress up the ladder at a quicker pace, be it a monetary influence or career aspirations.
@jvmrehab@clinicalphysio@thecsp I tend to agree that B5 experience is invaluable and it's very hard to walk straight into a B6 role unless going solo straight away. If you do two jobs then please don't burn out. All the best. ๐ช
@clinicalphysio@thecsp I actually think it's a bit of both. There are alot more mature students qualifying now who have other life experience, held down well paid jobs but also have financial commitments.
@NathanMackBrown My 79 year old Dad and 76 year old step mum haven't. Also my mother in law. They go out and also socialise with groups at weekends. They're careful, adopt hand hygiene and wear masks in shops.
@DrBHarrap Agreed. Working with children/young people and adults who are learning to manage the debilitating affects of Long covid. At least children/YP appear to be recovering quicker. ๐ #paediatricphysiotherapist
