Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing new accusations of hypocrisy.

In order to make sure people don't take advantage of his taxpayer-funded grocery stores, the mayor's office may roll out a "library-card-esque system" to keep things in check.

Critics are now pointing out that Mamdani has opposed voter ID laws in the past but may now embrace a "customer card" system to block any fraud or abuse from hitting the grocery shelves.
