Earlier today, the Honourable Minister, @fmydNG , @ayowisdom_ , received representatives of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Abuja for a strategic engagement focused on expanding opportunities for Nigerian youths through innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property development.

The meeting explored areas of collaboration aimed at supporting youth-led innovation, strengthening awareness of intellectual property rights, and creating pathways for young Nigerians to transform their ideas into globally competitive enterprises and sustainable economic opportunities.

@fmydNG, remains committed to fostering an enabling environment where innovation, technology, and creativity can thrive, while equipping Nigerian youths with the tools and opportunities needed to succeed in the global knowledge economy, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of @officialABAT.

Today, the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, presented the Ministry’s 2026 Budget during a joint session of the National Assembly.

The Minister presented the Ministry’s proposed budget estimates, outlining key priority areas aimed at youth empowerment, job creation, skills development, entrepreneurship support, and the full implementation of strategic programmes designed to enhance the socio-economic advancement of Nigerian youths.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent resource management, while appealing for the continued support and cooperation of the legislature to enable the Ministry deliver effectively on its mandate.

The joint session provided an opportunity for robust engagement, as members of the Assembly sought clarifications on programme implementation strategies, performance indicators, and expected outcomes for the 2026 fiscal year.

Earlier today, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, delivered a Goodwill Message at the official flag-off of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2.0, graciously led by His Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON.

The Honourable Minister noted that this milestone represents another bold stride in the nation’s commitment to building an empowered, innovative, and employable generation of young Nigerians.

He emphasized that since its inception in 2021, the NJFP has provided over 13,000 graduates with transformative opportunities in mentorship, skills development, and workplace experience. With this new phase, the programme aims to reach 20,000 additional fellows, moving toward the long-term goal of 100,000 placements within five years.

The minister commended the UNDP, the European Union, and the Office of the Vice President for their unwavering partnership and dedication to advancing youth empowerment and employability in Nigeria.

Despite the rain, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, made time today to engage and share quality moments with corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Mbaukwu/Umuawulu, Awka South LGA of Anambra State.

He reaffirmed his commitment to connecting with young Nigerians on national service in every state he visits during the orientation course-describing their energy, discipline, and optimism as a constant reminder of why we must keep investing in our youth.

The Minister encouraged corps members to see the NYSC year not just as a call to serve, but as a journey of learning, growth, and leadership — an opportunity to discover their potential and prepare for the future.

Under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Ministry remains dedicated to creating more opportunities for young Nigerians to thrive through skills development, innovation, and enterprise.
