History of India
11 September 1857.
A 13-year-old girl was tied to a tree in Bithoor and burned alive by the British Army. As the flames consumed her body, she did not utter a single word. She embraced martyrdom in silence.
Her name was Maina Kumari, the adopted daughter of Nana Sahib Peshwa.
During the First War of Independence in 1857, Nana Sahib was one of the most wanted leaders of the rebellion. Knowing that her presence could become a burden for her father in the struggle against British rule, Maina chose to remain behind in the Bithoor palace.
When the British learned that Nana Sahib had left, they surrounded the palace. Inside were only Maina Kumari and a handful of loyal soldiers. To flush out any resistance, British officer James Outram ordered the palace to be shelled and destroyed.
Believing everyone had departed, Maina emerged from her hiding place later that night. She was immediately captured and brought before Outram.
He demanded information about Nana Sahib and the revolutionary movement. Maina refused to speak.
Threats, intimidation, and torture could not break her resolve. Even when warned that she would be burned alive, the young girl replied that she was the daughter of a revolutionary and feared neither pain nor death.
Enraged by her defiance, Outram ordered her execution.
Bound to a tree and engulfed in flames, Maina Kumari chose martyrdom over betrayal. At just 13 years of age, she protected the secrets of the revolution with her life.
The story of India’s freedom is not written only in political negotiations and speeches. It is also written in the sacrifices of countless revolutionaries, warriors, and brave young girls like Maina Kumari, whose courage deserves to be remembered by every generation.
Remember Maina Kumari.
A child in age, but a patriot in spirit.
Vivek Agarwal's father, 80-year-old Radheshyam Agarwal, who had been admitted to Max and for whose care the entire family was staying at the hotel, also died today due to his medical conditions.
Till his last breath, he kept asking about the absence of his family members at the hospital, who had been regularly visiting him until 03 June 2026. The hospital staff did not tell him what had happened to them.
With his death, the Agarwal family has come to an end. Not a single member is left. What a tragedy!
Your holiday memories shouldn't become the mountains' burden. Take your waste back. Leave only footprints.
Being educated means nothing without basic civic sense. Clean up after yourself. Respect nature.

@dr_silas_xbt@Lotus_indrajit@BasilTheGreat@elonmusk@Coinvo You can mock Indians for being poor after the Brits looted all our wealth and left us sick and impoverished 80 years ago.
Took the Europeans centuries of looting resources from other continents to get to where they are today. Things will be different 100 years from now.

Kamlesh Kumari, India’s first woman to receive the Ashoka Chakra, displayed extraordinary courage and dedication in the line of duty.
On 13 December 2001, during the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament, she alerted security forces and helped prevent the attackers from gaining unhindered access to the Parliament complex. Despite being shot multiple times, she continued her duty until her last breath.
For her exceptional bravery and supreme sacrifice, she was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
Salute to a true hero, Kamlesh Kumari.

BJP @BJP4India MP @ravikishann in yet another vulgar role mocking Hinduism in Netflix sleaze Maa Behan that aims to destroy the sacredness of mother and sister - foundation of Hinduism.
Notice Kalash in his hand and rings on his fingers in a scene where he is looking at a lusty Madhuri Dixit during Soorya Arghya.
Is this the maryada of Prabhu Ram? BJP should be careful in choosing who it wants as role models for public.
Definitely not those who are furthering @netflix anti-Hindu pervert agenda.
ZojiLa Tunnel is in the news today, as the world's longest single-tube bi-directional road tunnel at the highest altitude of 11,578 ft.
Here is a video I made in 2018, over the same mountain. You will know why this all weather tunnel is so crucial between Srinagar and Kargil!

Protests seeking independence from Pakistan have continued intensely for several days. Situation out of control!
Situation is very grim in #PoJK but the Indian media is not even bothering to cover it. During 370, Pakistan had ensured India became an international villain when we did nothing to the civilians. Now compare with this..!
