Please help us congratulate our General Manager, Craig Williford, for 20 years working for 2B Technologies! Craig started at 2B in 2023 as an electrical engineer and has designed every circuit board we use in our instruments.
A new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences studied the correlation between industrialization and the work of impressionist painters Monet and Joseph Turner. A fascinating example of art meeting science!
Were the paintings of Claude Monet and other impressionists just “telling it like it was” during the Industrial Revolution? Maybe the dreamy scenes were Monet painting exactly what he saw—growing air pollution in rapidly modernizing Paris and London.

The impressionist style has dimmer objects, whiter hues, and a low-contrast “out of focus” feel. So does polluted air, in which particulate matter scatters and absorbs light.
Recently 2B Technologies began collaborating with local air agencies to further customize the AQSync. We are exploring the possibility of adding BTEX and Methane to this already highly customizable air monitoring solution.
They are also offering in-home air screenings to this day and continue to offer this service to anyone within the evacuation zone. Read more about what the Ohio EPA is doing to help the cleanup efforts of the derailment. https://t.co/FxMEKGoxct
The EPA is continuously conducting community air monitoring near the East Palestine train derailment site. Thankfully the air quality seems to be normal, and their data indicates no issues with the air quality.
Excited to announce - 2B Technologies is modernizing its brand while still providing the same high-quality instruments and unparalleled customer support. Stay tuned for more visual updates coming from us this year!

73% of the studies reported higher mental health symptoms and behaviors in subjects (humans and lab animals) that were exposed to higher than average levels of air pollution.
Air pollution appears to be affecting our mental health.
In a recent article in Neurotoxicology, more than 100 research articles from both animal and human studies that focused on the effects of outdoor air pollution on mental health were reviewed. https://t.co/c2FnV9nEf6
We’re very excited to send several AQSyncs and AQLites to the Tri-Chapters Region of the Navajo Nation to help them develop their own air quality programs. Many thanks to NIH for funding our grant (https://t.co/9wOUt3BbPR). #NavajoNation#AirQuality#NIH
Did you know that we began involving students in air pollution monitoring a whopping 14 years ago and haven't stopped since?! In our first program, the GO3 Project, 2B Tech sent ozone monitors to schools around the world. Check it out here: https://t.co/u5Tzcv2ZEW
Pictured here is Jessa Ellenburg, PE visiting Wyoming Indian High School in Ethete, WY. On this day the WY students were discussing their ozone values with students at their sister school at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa.
Want to measure air pollution ACCURATELY at your school or in your community? The AQSync uses a combination of EPA approved (FEM) and near-reference instrumentation to measure PM1, PM2.5, PM10, ozone (FEM), NO, NO2 (FEM), CO, CO2, tVOCs, and weather parameters.
