@KatiePMcGrady That will certainly be an event that you will all remember forever from your 10th Anniversary!🥰 Happy Anniversary from a Louisiana follower!!!
I don’t know how to fully explain that Rose was stuck in the bathroom stall at the McDonald’s by the Vatican for a full 15 minutes, nearly prompting an international incident while Tommy tried to lift the door off its hinges to set her free.
We got her out, thanks to a coin & a homeless woman’s ingenuity with a pocket knife & my very broken Italian complete with wild hand gestures & a claustrophobic 8 year old’s sad whimpers from the other side of the door.
Gelato fixed it all an hour later.
Anyway. Don’t lock the stall door at the Borgo Pio McDonald’s.
If you are Catholic and will be going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) keep a few things in mind:
1. Confess your sins, not other people's sins.
2. Don't tell a story about why you sinned.
3. Don't talk about other people.
4. Sins are not accidents, so if you accidentally sneezed in public that is not a sin.
5. Don't talk about who you do and do not like, what you do for fun, how tough your job is or how you "almost" sinned.
6. If you accidentally did something and it was not intentional it is not a sin.
7. Be assured that if you confess your sins as far as you can remember since your last confession all of your sins are forgiven.
If you are not Catholic don't complain that Catholics do go to Confession.
The chapel where St. Joan of Arc prayed is now in Wisconsin. Originally located in Chasse, France, it had fallen into disrepair before being moved to the campus of Marquette University.
Damn. Another gas explosion just rocked an apartment complex in Oak Cliff, Dallas. One person hurt, over 100 first responders digging through the rubble right now.
That building went up like a matchstick. Prayers for everyone trapped or affected, these scenes are brutal.
How many of these ‘accidents’ are we gonna shrug off in cities run into the ground by the same clowns who can’t keep the lights on or the streets safe? Infrastructure decay ain’t random. Stay safe out there, Texas.
Friends, today I celebrate my 40th anniversary as a priest.
These past decades—almost two-thirds of my life—have been joyful indeed, and I have never once regretted my decision to become a priest. The priesthood has taken me all over the world and deep into the hearts of people I’ve been privileged to serve.
Thank you for your prayers and support over these many years. Please continue to pray for me and all priests, and know of my continued prayers for you.
Rose petals fell today in the Pantheon for Pentecost.
The Pantheon was consecrated as the church of St Mary and the Martyrs in 609.
An old Pentecost custom, revived in 1995, drops red rose petals through the oculus after Mass, recalling the tongues of fire described in Acts.
Tens of thousands of people in Southern California have been told to leave their homes, with officials issuing a dire warning that a chemical tank at an aerospace facility is in "crisis" and will either leak or explode. https://t.co/QWwN3ru6p5
