امرأة دفعتها الرغبة بالانتقام من أخت زوجها إلى التخطيط لاختطاف ابنتها، لكن الصدمة الكبرى كانت في هوية المنفذين.
غزل، طفلة عراقية تبلغ من العمر 4 سنوات من منطقة الدسيم في بغداد، خرجت برفقة ابنة خالتها رقية البالغة 5 سنوات، قبل أن تختفيا ويتم إبلاغ الشرطة. وبعد ساعات من البحث، عُثر عليهما داخل مياه الصرف الصحي.

التحقيقات كشفت تفاصيل صادمة، إذ تعرضت الطفلتان لاعتداء وحشي قبل إلقائهما في مياه الصرف لإخفاء معالم الجريمة. غزل فارقت الحياة، بينما نجت رقية بأعجوبة.

وتبيّن لاحقاً أن المحرّضة هي والدة رقية، فيما كان المنفذ الرئيسي خال غزل وعم رقية، حيث قام بأخذ الطفلتين وتسليمهما لشخص آخر شارك في الجريمة، قبل التخلص منهما بطريقة مأساوية.
الشرطة ألقت القبض على المتهمة الرئيسية وعدد من المشاركين في الجريمة�� وسط حالة غضب واسعة ومطالبات بتش��يد العقوبات وحماية الأطفال من هذا العنف المتصاعد.
