@BafanaSurprise Gayton Mackenzie = Julius Malema.
Using political power to connect to very dodgy individuals for ulterior motives. Gayton's sins will surface sooner rather than later
@LLB_hard82389@TonyLeonSA@helenzille Toughest humans in Africa is our farmers. No matter what the minister of agriculture throws at them, they've got it!!
Just keep voting for the only party that delivers.
@LLB_hard82389@TonyLeonSA@helenzille Dude, the ONLY party that delivers and make my life better and give me more value for my local taxes is the DA. Until the day that they stop delivering, they wll have my vote.
You live under the ANC rot and dont know anything better. Easy to say, dont vote DA.
In December 2024, I received a lawyer’s letter on behalf of Major General Feroz Khan.
The letter accused me of making “defamatory” remarks, said it was “not unreasonable” to understand my reference to a “major general” as a reference to Khan, and demanded that I “formally retract” and “cease and desist” from making similar remarks.
The relevant issue then was already clear: allegations around questionable procurements, the secret service fund, media smear campaigns, and defeating the ends of justice in relation to a cocaine seizure case.
Now, less than two years later, Major General Khan is at the centre of the very kind of Crime Intelligence corruption crisis we warned about. The Madlanga Commission has now heard serious allegations involving Khan, his seized devices, and alleged interference in investigations. He has also reportedly withdrawn court attempts to block access to those devices and to have parts of the process heard behind closed doors.
This raises a much bigger question: how did a person with this level of controversy remain protected for so long inside one of the most sensitive environments in the SAPS?
It also demands proper scrutiny of how he rose through the ranks. Khan was promoted from colonel to major general, skipping brigadier. If that was irregular, who approved it, who protected it, and why?
Just remember that Khan reportedly also skipped the rank of lieutenant colonel. He went straight from captain to full colonel and straight from colonel to major general.
South Africans deserve a police service run by people committed to law, discipline and integrity, not a Crime Intelligence environment where warnings are met with lawyer’s letters, while the truth only surfaces years later through commissions and court papers.
@Jonathan_Witt Those 6 words can have so many meanings..... but definitely does not have any impact on the "accountability" of anything.
I just told of our clients off to a colleague of mine. Happens everywhere and is only human.
@CommonSense_ZA I keep on hearing Groenewald is doing such a great job. But this is just opinions. Where are the data and stats for this "he is doing a great job"? And to what do you compare it to? Certainly you cant compare it to an ANC minister as they are far below par score.
@Abramjee@pule_jones@eNCA SA intelligence and SARS know exactly who the kingpins are in all these illicit trades. Gold. Tabacco etc. But because of political connections and fear of retribution, nothing is EVER done.
This is Venezuela / Iran / Cuba / Russia level shit.
@TimesLIVE My bosses words yesterday, “I am always at work, doesnt matter how sick I am. So you WILL be coming to work or there will be big problems”. A fellow employee phoned to say he sick and wont be coming to work.
