Yesterday the battalion received their medal from Major General Edward Dalby after a successful deployment to Zanzibar.

Yesterday evening, the CHQ of the newly formed 'Waterloo Company', convened outside of the Wellington Barracks Officer Mess.

Operation Blue Horizon in Zanzibar has ended!

It has been an extremely interesting deployment and I am proud to have lead my section during this deployment, overall an well done to No.2 Company and to the rest of the companies within the 1st Battalion.

This marks the end of the deployment to Zanzibar!

Another successful deployment with the battalion. Now we will be going back to the UK and await the homecoming parade.

For the last two days, we have been preparing for the upcoming deployment. We have been refreshing our green skills by doing things such as section attacks, harbour drills, etc.

Today the fortnightly staff meeting was hosted.

This meeting discusses the likes of the running of the company along with any potential changes.

It is a great chance to catch up with what the troops and their ideas!
