The things I wanna say about this abysmal match on Saturday.

The most evil 09 version of Randy Orton is playing babyface and selling his back like he did against Gunther.

Crowd literally doesn’t care because they’re on Randy’s side so half the match they’re disengaged.

Randy Orton instead of low blowing Cody from the back he waits for him to face him like Randy’s some ethical heel and ofcourse Cody blocks it.

Why the hell is Pat McAfee slow counting knowing Cody Rhodes history of kicking out of 50 billion finishers.

What’s even the point of RKoing Pat?

Why did Cody win the same way he does the past 2 years? Ref bump. Heel somehow is distracted and Cody takes advantage.

AND WHY IS RANDY ORTON BRINGING OUT THE PUNT AFTER THE MATCH EVEN THOUGH HES BEEN TEASING IT FOR YEARS?

And why is the show closing off like it’s a smackdown angle setting up Great balls of dih???

It’s been a minute since we had a true WrestleMania main event that was just two dudes who “hate” each other going one on one, no distractions, just physical storytelling.

Tonight set a tone for both performers. For Roman it was a reminder to everyone he’s more than “cinema,” Bloodline interference, or just a part-timer. For Punk, it was another example of why he’s one of the best at making every moment feel real and telling a story inside the match.

In the end, it wasn’t skill that failed Punk, it was time. A decade ago, he hits the GTS and wins. Tonight, the gas tank emptied, the body gave out, and the story wrote itself.
