Last week, 2d MEB Marines, Sailors and their families conducted a dining out event at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to increase esprit de corps, unit morale and to preserve tradition.

#Marines carry the remains of WWII Veteran Pfc. Charles R. Taylor to his final resting place at Carnegie Cemetery in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Taylor was assigned to the Marine Detachment aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
She worked non-stop to create accounts & network integration for 75 U.S. military personnel, as well as, seven foreign liaison officers. She directly supported the commander’s staff by completing hundreds of trouble tickets, identifying fixing multiple software issues.

Meet Cpl. Tina Henderson, our newly promoted data systems administrator who was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for superior performance of duties just weeks before earning a meritorious promotion to the rank of Corporal.
“I was really trying my best to be an asset to people. Trying to make myself useful because we’re doing real world stuff, so I might as well try my best.�� Henderson said.
Henderson’s hard work and dedication make her a vital asset to the command.
Walter E. Boomer – the 24th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps – served for 34 years in the Marine Corps, deployed overseas during the Vietnam War and the Gulf War, and is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal, two Silver Stars, and two Bronze Stars.

The USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19), assigned to the Bataan ARG and embarked 26th MEU(SOC), under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the @USNavyEurope area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S, allies and partner interests.
