Dr Essack says that there is little understanding of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) - 16 #SouthAfrican participants opted to test for #HIV during the #TogetherTomorrow research - 8 were positive. #MSM #LGBT #healthcare #PositiveVibes

Dr Essack highlights the @EHPSAprog @HSRCza research findings: only 30% of participants are employed; 71% identify as gay but homophobia is a highly prevalent external factor experienced; participants think of healthcare spaces as heterosexual spaces #TogetherTomorrow

Dr Zaynab Essack from @EHPSAprog says the study to understand the #HIV prevention needs of #MSM in #SA and #Namibia focussed on over 600 couples over 18 years old who had been in a relationship for more than 3 months

Despite harsh #political climates, Dr Reygan says in countries like Uganda, there are organisations working to bring #MSM #healthcare into mainstream public health services. "How we can take the best practice & incorporate that into public health delivery?" #TogetherTomorrow
