This is so amazing! I wonder if anyone would be interested in how we run our own tiny homestead on just under an acre?
We incorporate good stewardship of the land, as Orthodox Christians, it's an important element of our faith. Another important part was to be good stewards of our money, so we did this all frugally. In the comments I explain a little about our setup here in southern Virginia.

You brought up doctors.

Until recently foreign doctors had to go through residency for years under the care of an American physician.
They took that away in 36 states, I believe now, maybe more.
They no longer have to go through residency, they just have to pass a test. We know how many people "pass" tests.

I have written multiple posts about it. I am not much of a writer and don't want or have much of a following. We need to get the word out.

Americans aren't going into medicine because it's become 80% insurance paperwork 20% with the patients.

Also it's almost impossible for a person to go through medical school without excessive debt.
They are then forced to work for large doctor groups where they have to take 3000 patients a year on average. If you went into medicine but could only spend 10 minutes with a patient, would you want to do that?

The problem is the insurance industry and Obama care. The amount of paperwork rose so much that any doctor I knew near retirement, retired.
This is why Americans aren't going into medicine. 25-30% of doctors in America are foreigners and trained in a foreign country.

This is a step in the right direction!
My response is what I think needs to happen to stop the train of illegal aliens, fraudulent identity, working illegally, receiving drivers licenses, SS numbers, receiving Medicaid/Medicare, etc., it only requires enforcement of existing laws.

What do you think?

This needs to happen on a large scale.

When it's no longer cheaper to higher illegals, they won't be hired.
There needs to be real consequences for forged documents and identify theft all along the chain. Not just the people using it.
If we do this, it will become cost prohibitive to get fraudulent identification for most illegals.

We need to make federal laws about states being allowed to give social security or drivers license to people here illegally. There must be real consequences for lack of enforcement.

If we implement these doable things, a large portion of illegal aliens will no longer have access to other citizens identities for work, rentals, loan applications, etc.

The government can make it so inhospitable that people don't want to come here illegally and others will self deport. It's unfair to all the people waiting and following the laws that make a society civil.

It's the only way to truly tackle the illegal alien issue.
It would require martial law and aggressive measures to actually deport a significant portion of people here illegally.
We aren't going to do that.

I want to see the laws we already have enforced and federal measures to plug up any loopholes.

I want to see the people who committed fraud prosecuted, especially the highest ranking.
I don't care about their political, religious or ethnic background.
A CEO made the decisions, without their complicity it couldn't happen.
How often do we see people in those kinds of positions held responsible?

If the government has uncovered Billions in fraud, where is the money?
Aren't these people's assets being seized?
If they have no money, follow the trail, it goes somewhere. Potentially a remittance to another country.

They're telling us what everyone has known for decades.
We want to see judicial action and a return of the funds.
It's tax payer money.

We allowed this. We continue to allow this.
We truly have become an economic zone.

It's this America's 250th anniversary. I barely hear anything about it.

May God bless America. That somehow it can come back from the fact that 25-30% of our doctors foreign born and trained,
More than a quarter of the population wasn't born here or is first generation.

How many illegal aliens are here? We really don't know.

How about the "refugees" that Obama and Biden allowed to take over cities and be represented in our government after only being here a short time.

Our country and its culture is becoming unrecognizable from 30 years ago.

I know all countries change but I guess 250 years marks the end of what America was and the beginning of what it will become.

I am glad to be old and have seen this country before the internet, before everything was delivered to your door.

I like Chat GPT too. It's the second runner up for him.

AI is only to make things easier and faster at his company. No automation. Trained people look over everything, actually 3 people. It's important that everything be perfect.

He tried something with Copilot, worked with it for 2 hours. Tried in Grok, but didn't get exactly what he was looking for, tried ChatCPT the same as Grok. He had Grok write him a prompt for ChatGPT and it spit out exactly what he wanted it to do.
The pilot project should give him some solid numbers. The board wants to see what can get it done quickly but accuracy is the most important.

A nation without borders is no nation. Do they want one world economy and open borders? That would lead to chaos and death on a scale they can't imagine.

This is with only 1% of the US population being Muslim. A smaller percentage who are practicing.
Even in these small numbers, they have captured many young people by combining it with communist ideologies. They push ideas that are nothing short of suicidal empathy.
I guess they don't read history. That's exactly what that left did in Iran and almost all were murdered by the regime once their goal was achieved.

The idea of family, career, church being central to life is made to sound like something only the "oppressor" would do.
Meanwhile, Muslims are getting engineering degrees here and having more children than non Muslims, and family honor is such a strong thing that there is such a thing as honor killings in their culture.

While the indoctrinated left, don't have children in replacement numbers, hate their family if they don't agree with them, and certainly have nothing to do with the "crusading Christians".
Once again not understanding history, that the crusades were in response to the Muslim hordes taking over Christian countries.
Our American freedoms and high trust society is being used against us for this purpose.

You are not alone in feeling this way.
I am angry that we do nothing to prevent these horrific crimes in the first place.
In this person's case, correct me if I am wrong, he had a lot of violent priors.
It could have been prevented if this person would have been kept in prison.
The claim he is too mentally ill to stand trial. Then why did they ever release him back to the streets multiple times?

I don't know this person's mental health issues.
I do know about the revolving door system.
I volunteered in state hospitals.

The most common scenario..

Someone gets arrested for doing something like screaming in peoples faces in front of a store. The police take them in, then realize they need mental health care. Generally they go through the magistrate to get an involuntary commitment. (every state is a little different)
The person is sent to a state hospital or a hospital that takes state/federal money.
The patient sees a judge with a lawyer in 72 hours to see if he's competent to be released. It's a high bar in most states to keep someone. And even if the judge agrees to keep the person committed it is still most likely they will be released within a couple of weeks.
Also mental illness, even people with Schizophrenia, can seem relatively well for periods of time. So they release the person with a bunch of phone numbers for "help" and a 2 week script for the meds they were on in the hospital.

But these people are mentally ill. Even if they can afford the medicine, it's a common issue with mentally ill people being non compliant with their medication.
So now they are off the meds they were on for maybe a few weeks and the cycle continues.
These hospitals are horribly overcrowded and not much different than a prison besides they are there for treatment instead of punishment.
I can tell you most of the people see it as no different than prison. Some feel it's even worse because there are more freedoms in prison.

We need long term care solutions for those with severe mental illness where they're treated with basic dignity and it doesn't feel like a punishment.
It would be expensive up front.
The long term savings in the prison system, police, social workers, ER, rotating state hospital expense and of course the crime that comes with some that are severely mentally ill.
