This is a serious matter. You see that PO’s “I cut the grass” comment eh?

What he appeared to say and what he actually was saying are continents apart.

He wasn’t saying cutting grass on a University campus was his achievement - he was saying he met a bush, leveled it, and built it into a University campus.

But of course, in love, war — and politics — all’s fair. PO’s people would do the same thing (if not worse) to someone they didn’t like, who said the same thing.

There’s zero room for any context or nuance. Just noise and heat and distortion.

For me there’s something bigger at play here - and it’s sobering and disturbing. How easily video clips can be so misleadingly shared/positioned for (mis)interpretation.

Let’s put politics aside for a second. Is anyone not worried about this downhill path we’re tumbling along. The long term effect beyond the ‘gotcha’ of social media.

You only need to listen to the 30 seconds immediately after PO says “I cut the grass” to know what he meant, what he was trying to say.

We will spend 48 hours on this, the gloaters will gloat, the defenders will defend. Until the tables turn. And trust PO’s people to ‘do their own back’, LOL.

Tomorrow when we all start lamenting about fake news and misinformation and disinformation — let us remember our part in it, all in the name of politicking.

The other point is that PO (and this applies to all politicians as well) will need to do better at picking his words very carefully lol. You can’t be flippantly saying ‘I cut the grass’ in this politically charged environment when what you mean to say is that you built something from scratch.

For over eight decades, the Lord has preserved you, strengthened you, and used you as a vessel of honor to bless nations. I have watched you serve God with unwavering devotion, humility, and a heart fully surrendered to His will. You are not only a gift to the body of Christ, but you are God’s precious gift to me.

At 84, you are still burning brightly for the Lord, still hearing His voice clearly, and still leading with wisdom and compassion. I thank God for your life of obedience, sacrifice, and relentless pursuit of His presence. You have shown us what it means to finish strong.

On this special day, I pray that the Almighty God will renew your strength like the eagle’s. May your latter days be greater than the former. May divine health be your portion, and may joy overflow in your heart continually. The Lord will uphold you with His righteous right hand, surround you with peace, and satisfy you with long life. You will see the fruits of your labor flourish across generations, and your legacy in Christ will remain unshakable.

It’s Export Time: Storage (“Hoarding”) as a Business is Now Dead in Nigeria

Food prices are crashing across Nigerian markets, but there’s a deeper reason most people are missing. For a long time, Nigeria never truly had market-driven commodity pricing. Prices weren't dictated by organic demand and supply; they were driven by artificial scarcity created by "storage as a business."
In practice, storage became hoarding. Because Nigeria’s agricultural sector lacked proper infrastructure, aggregators and traders stepped in to fill the gap. They became the storage system. They absorbed market-fluctuation risks and preserved harvests for post-harvest trade. If you understood harvest cycles and the timing of scarcity, you could clear 60–100% ROI in months.

The Secret is Out, and the Tears are Real
Today, many aggregators are crying in secret. Those who built their businesses solely around storage are now languishing in debt. For years, hoarding was the quiet way to print money in Nigeria’s agro sector. It was a guarded secret. Any experienced agro-investor has done it, I did it myself. I made consistent 80–120% returns on palm oil storage, even managing storage for others as an investment.
I know many who stored various commodities and saw ridiculous returns in just months. No processing. No branding. No complexity. You simply bought at harvest, locked it up, and waited. When the season ended and prices spiked, you sold.

When Greed Broke the System
What started as a solution to a broken system eventually turned into greed. Aggregators began hoarding massive quantities of essential food, manipulating market forces. Consumers suffered under artificially high prices, and for decades, this model worked. Many of us cashed out big.

Then the environment shifted:
* Policy Changes: Government food-import policies evolved.
* Production Shifts: Production cycles broke.
* Climate Instability: The weather stopped respecting the calendar, making yields unpredictable.

What used to be a smart, quiet investment is now capital trapped in high-risk zones. Many traders currently hold stock in warehouses priced higher than the current market value. The large margins are gone. Why? Because if you hoard locally to force a price hike, the market responds differently now. Foreign commodities can be imported and sold at lower prices. While our local markets being flooded with foreign produce affects farmers, it is a necessary reset.

The New Reality: Move Fast or Lose
Hoarding as a business was a quiet cancer to the food economy and a tool that fed our greed. The old mantra, buy and hoard because the price will surely rise, is dead.
Commodity margins are no longer about who can store the most produce; they are about who can move it the fastest across borders. It’s about exporting now.

While storage infrastructure is still a necessity and a massive opportunity to prevent post-harvest loss, the "hoarding for profit" model is over. The future of storage is to preserve quality for the purpose of exporting excess produce.
Stop trapping your capital in warehouses. Look outward. Exporting is where the margins live now. Find an international buyer, get a contract, and let’s trade!

NEW WEEK PRAYER FOR MY SONS

“LORD, ALIGN THEIR HEARTS AGAIN”

Father, here I stand again at the Gate of a new Week,
lifting my Sons before You.
Not with confidence in their strength,
because I know how quickly a young man can drift
and still call it growth.

LORD, I present their Hearts before You.
Search them.
Weigh them.
Judge them early, so that Life will not have to judge them later.

Let nothing in them become familiar with Disobedience.
Let nothing begin small in them and rise to rule them.

This Week, O GOD, break the Negotiations in their Souls
the quiet conversations they have with Pride,
the subtle permissions they give to Lust,
the invisible agreements they make with Ambition,
the gentle nods they give to Mammon when no one sees them.

Father, I ask not first for their Achievements,
but for their Alignment.
If they will achieve anything this Week,
let it be the Triumph of Your Lordship over their Desires.

Deliver my Sons from the hurried spirit

who have seen the LORD.
Purify their speech.
Sift their motives.
Keep their hearts broken
not shattered by Life,
but yielded by Reverence.

And Father…
If You must interrupt them to preserve them, interrupt them.
If You must wound them to heal them, wound them.
If You must strip them to align them, strip them.
Do not allow them enter a convenience
that will cost them their Crown.

This is my Cry:
LORD, govern their Hearts before You govern their Week.
Let everything they touch carry Your Fear,
Your Wisdom,
Your Restraint,
Your Purity,
Your Weight.

I decree Strength for them to walk worthy.
I decree Grace for them to remain watchful.
And I decree the Fear of the LORD as their Companion.

I want to share a few lessons I have learnt in my walk with God, even though it’s only been a little while.

These lessons may help you, and most of them come from the disciplines I gained through my missteps with Him.

1. If you forsake God, He will forsake you.
This is a hard saying, but we are no longer children.

Scripture records the words of the prophet to King Asa: “But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:2).

I have personally seen sins I once thought were history try to resurface simply because I left my Bible and prayers for a few days.

Just a few days! I saw my flesh slipping back into old patterns, forgetting the self-discipline and restraint against emotional outbursts that God had helped me build.

I also witnessed how the peace, assurance, and that quiet inner knowledge of His fellowship slowly dimmed, grew faint, and almost imperceptible—all because I drew back from fellowship.

I am sharing this because the time for “fooling" is over. We need to take God more seriously.

2. If you seek God, He will reveal Himself to you.
The same verse in 2 Chronicles 15:2 also says: “If you seek Him, He will be found by you.”

Though I experienced what I just described above, the moment I returned to God in prayer, fellowship in the Word, and fasting, it was as though I had never left.

This is who the Lord is—our Father. Just like the father of the prodigal son was already on the road looking out for his lost son, God DESIRES you back.

When we return to Him, He refreshes us. He will show you great things, and your peace, joy, and Spirit-filled fellowship will return.

3. Cherish what you have with God.
It is difficult to find again once it is lost. Never take whatever you have with God for granted—please, cherish it and guard it.

I once experienced fasting for long periods with such ease that I thought I was Superman.

Then I assumed I could switch that grace on and off at will. But when the Lord withdrew it, I realized the truth: “It is not by power, nor by might” and there is nothing we have that we have not received (cf. 1 Corinthians 4:7).

Guard every grace and gift God has given you.

My experience has been that when you lose a divine gift, regaining it often comes at a price.

I believe this is God’s way of disciplining us—teaching us how to better live as sons.

4. The power of the Christian life is in the “little things.”

This has been the most powerful lesson I’ve learnt walking with God.

Don’t despise the little things—the early morning or late-night prayers, that one page of Bible reading per day, the sermons three times a week, the fasting once a week.

You may think these are small and insignificant, until you stop them.

Then you’ll realize they were the very things keeping you rapturable.

Yes—rapturable.

Never substitute ministering to God for ministry for God.

God is not impressed by our works; He does not need us in that sense.

He would rather you minister to Him directly. This was the pattern of Jesus—while ministering to the people, He would withdraw to desolate places to minister to the Father in prayer (Luke 5:16).

This is the way. The believer who prays and reads the Bible daily is of greater value before God than the one who raises the dead and prophesies to nations but cannot even locate Isaiah in the Scriptures.

I will stop here for now. I have more lessons to share later. But I hope this ministers to you.
