@XocliwNitsua @agammamon @nickspencer74 @AndrewCFollett I’m not going to pretend I have the answers on that. In the case of this particular shooter the volume of ammo and weapons he purchased shouldn’t have been so easy or quick to obtain (IMO).

Laws aside, that’s like over-serving at a bar.

Outside of that the argument that mass shootings happen in other countries shouldn’t mean that we should just shrug our shoulders and accept that this is a reality we can’t change.

I think they want to send their kids to school and not worry about if they are going to come home or not.

Having strict gun laws in a city that borders a state that have very relaxed gun laws is like living in a dry county and expecting no one could possibly ever drink alcohol there.

@AndrewCFollett @benshapiro I can agree that action for the sake of action is pointless. However when there is a problem that needs addressing, action is mertied if not demanded.

Straw gun laws you mentioned would be a piece of a plan, but isn’t the only level to pull.

@AndrewCFollett @benshapiro You’re also positing that stricter gun laws don’t work because there is still gun violence in large cities who have stricter gun laws. But you’re also saying that the US doesn’t have a gun violence problem compared to other countries. So the answer is do nothing? That can’t be.
