“Here's something else interesting: In January, Hollins signed an injury waiver with the team that allowed him to play late in the playotts, sources tell me.
Hollins had suffered a lacerated spleen during the regular season and was placed on IR. He fought tooth and nail to play in the AFC Championship Game against the wishes of the team. He signed a waiver that effectively released the franchise of liability if serious injury occurred.”
