The knowledge you cannot have is of the riddles of birth & death, of our future destiny and the purposes of God. Here there is no knowledge, but illusions that limit hope. Accept the mystery behind knowledge: it is not darkness but shadow.

Happy Simcoe Day in Ontario.
Lieutenant-Governor (the province’s first) J.G. Simcoe made Upper Canada the first British territory in the world to legislate against slavery, in 1793.
I was never taught this in school. I hope my son is.
@Pagmenzies@markrmcqueen If memory serves Teneycke really started to dig at Poilievre after Kory ran his Lamborghini into a hydro pole and became obsessed with tonsorial perfection.
Disgusted and angered by the fire that devastated Nöam, a well-known kosher restaurant in Montreal. My team and I had eaten there just last month.
Montreal police are investigating the fire as arson. It comes amid an alarming rise in attacks against Jewish institutions, businesses, schools and places of worship.
The motive must be established quickly, and those responsible must be found, prosecuted and held fully accountable.
Antisemitism has no place in Montreal or anywhere in Canada. We will always stand with the Jewish community.
Hey @DougSaunders this tweet you shared seems to be unsubstantiated speculation fuelling a conspiracy theory about Israel somehow controlling world events in Africa. For clarity, are you endorsing this stuff, or just spreading it around?
@MeghanEMurphy@GoGoRogozhin That’s a weird thing to say to someone who has steadfastly followed you since that awful Canadian Senate hearing in 2016. I’m a huge fan of your courage and intellectual resolve in the gender wars. We have to disagree about Fauci. Try and be a tad more gracious about same.
@MeghanEMurphy@GoGoRogozhin Exactly the opposite: I listen carefully to experts like Bhattacharya and excellent journalists. What I don’t do is mistake sad, sorry spectacles like that congressional hearing as anything remotely interested in establishing fact. Both sides looked horrible and partisan.
@TimHoustonNS You forgot to mention that Nova Scotia welcomed freed slaves from the 13 colonies after their revolutionary break with England. Many arrived in the Shelburne area.
So yes, Emancipation Day celebrates the arrival of emancipated, former slaves into Nova Scotia.
@Vancity_Bink@GoGoRogozhin@MeghanEMurphy Like most gnostic conspiracists your doctrine of faith is both beside the point and (well, duh) unfalsifiable.
You mistake my exasperation as some personal failure. It isn't. I've simply moved on. What you're doing is unhealthy in all sorts of ways.
Get a life Bink. Move on.
@Vancity_Bink@GoGoRogozhin@MeghanEMurphy Geez Bink, I guess you could take a few diary entries (cuz you haven't read the diary either) and epidemiologically torque that into "millions" of lives but it actually sounds silly just typing those words.
Present death toll US: 1,300K.
Oooooops. Silly you.
Five intense days at Harvard Business School for Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management are coming to an end.
It was a privilege (and a deeply humbling experience) to spend the week surrounded by exceptional nonprofit leaders from around the world. Every conversation challenged an assumption, every case study stretched my thinking, and every peer brought a different perspective on leading organizations that exist to serve a mission.
The Harvard case method and Socratic style of teaching forced me to think differently. Rather than learning abstract theories, we wrestled with real decisions alongside remarkable organizations: Jai Vakeel, the Boston Ballet, https://t.co/1mtmu4E13n, Equal Justice Initiative, Aravind Eye Care, and others. In several cases, we even had the opportunity to hear directly from the CEOs after debating the cases ourselves, which made the experience even richer.
The biggest takeaway for me was seeing the @CDNConstFound with fresh eyes. This week clarified my purpose as a leader and sharpened my understanding of where our greatest opportunities lie.
I'm heading home with new ideas, new strategies, and renewed motivation to build Canada's greatest civil liberties organization. The mission feels clearer than ever.
And yes, there was something wonderfully nostalgic about living in a residence dorm again, debating ideas late into the night, and ending evenings with classmates at college bars in Cambridge. It was a reminder that some of the best learning happens outside the classroom.
I'm deeply grateful to my classmates, faculty, and everyone who made this experience possible. Now it's time to put these lessons into practice.
@GoGoRogozhin@MeghanEMurphy Everyone knows Rand Paul is running for president, and Fauci is a stepping stone.
It's an odd spectacle watching the GOP scapegoat Fauci. Did he get shit wrong and hide the fact? Sure. So did lots and lots of other people, on both sides of the debate.
No saint, no devil.
@MeghanEMurphy It is so weird to read someone complaining about the suppression of truth while kinda defending a man for whom truth is an alien species.
You doubt Trump knew Fauci was lying? I doubt Trump gave an actual fuck about anything except the election; lying is what Trump does.
