I listen to Ado occasionally and I'm not a Kpop fan either, but I can kind of understand why Kpop fans were angry—though, of course, the harsh personal attacks against her from some of them went way too far.
I think the event organizers are the ones at fault here.

It’s interesting how international and Japanese fans are reacting differently. Most Japanese fans, even those who aren't fans of Ado, feel that she and the organizers were in the wrong.
