If they manage themselves and they go to bed at 9:30 or 10 because they realize what they have in store, then rest more. IMO military and athletes k ow time management the best. Let them learn that.

@DaleARex The worst part of the lighter bats IMO is that it allows lazy coaches to stay lazy. The ones that don’t take their players to the weight room or don’t develop with a strength plan will be allowed to continue to under develop players. The players lose in the end IMO.

@CoachBeede Should 2026 grads stay on the lookout for an alternate place to play? I know of an SEC school backed off a HS player 10 days before getting into his dorm. Crazy but it happens a lot. They sign a bunch and then back off late. I’m sure other conferences do it too.

@HPBAac @CoachSwit I believe that HS is where you really learn how to play. Travel usually does not practice due to players being all over the place. Not enough development opportunities when it’s just show and play games. No bullpens, groundballs, etc. just pregame cage BP and play.

@CoachSwit Travel coaches usually don’t have or access to much of the info needed. Transcripts, practice attitude/habits, weight room habits, are they on time, school attendance information, etc. All of this is crucial. To be fair, travel teams usually don’t practice from 15u and up.

@kjay73 @reviveperform You also have to consider the number of strikes that are called because of the one knee stance. I think this unfortunate play seldom happens but many use this just to complain about one knee stances. How many of these plays actually happen? Not many I would say.

@PSBaseballScout He’s a switch hitting catcher. The switch hitters got shorted on swings for some reason. Had 2 rounds of 2 and 4 while others had 2 rounds of 6-8

@CoachSwit Transfer portal should allow 1 free transfer and the next should be academic based. Meaning you have to show some sort of progress toward the declared major. If you are taking basket weaving classes you can transfer.
