I am delighted to have finally received my copy of the thought-provoking volume Mapping the Future of Afghanistan, to which I had the privilege of contributing a chapter titled:
“Women, Violence and Law: A Critical Analysis of Women's Rights in Afghanistan.”

In this chapter, I employ a legal feminist methodology to explore gender power relations and the complex interplay between socio-cultural norms and law in Afghanistan.

The analysis seeks to shed light on the structural challenges and potential pathways for advancing women’s rights and justice in the country.

My heartfelt thanks go to the editors and all contributors for their hard work, insightful scholarship, and dedication in bringing this important project to life.
