We are very proud and feel very privileged to have worked with @LemonSoulBooks on the launch of Ivor Perl’s book ‘Chicken Soup Under The Tree’.
You can read more about Ivor’s incredible story in today’s edition of The Guardian below:
A lovely conversation with #IvorPerl@freedland here showing a survivor's hope & enormous compassion. There's talk of hatred but hope seems to have raised Ivor Perl above hating people into hating the terrible things we still do to one another.

Ivor Perl was 12 when he was deported to Auschwitz.
Later he had to do forced labour in Kaufering*.
Of his family, he and his brother Alec survived the Holocaust.
Does he hate Germans? “No, I think what I hate is what human beings allow themselves to do.”

#holocaust#humanbeings

Last year, Chelsea Under-15s spent time with Ivor Perl BEM, a Holocaust survivor who was taken to Auschwitz as a 12 year-old boy along with his mother, sisters and younger brothers – only he and one of his eight siblings survived.

“Hope, you had to have. I’m convinced that all of us, without hope, wouldn’t have lasted a day.”
