Not what i expected but better. I love that they cast a normal looking woman in her late 40s and not a Charlize Theron for it. Nolan took Circe’s character and made an universal comment abt men’s entitlement and violence towards women, the horror of the scene matched the message

In all the discussion about The Odyssey I’m seeing nobody talk about Samantha Morton’s Circe and that astonishes me as she was my absolute favorite part of the film. Without her the overall theme wouldn’t have hit as hard as it did and she deserves all the recognition for it
