I tested Drop DJ 2.1.2 by playing one game. Revolutionary, I know.
The one event I actually care about, game_started, never fired. Not in my database. Not in Firebase. The previous build logged 52 of them in 14 days.
I was about to point Google Ads at it. It would have optimised for nothing, very efficiently.

I built a recruitment site for yacht crew in 2015. It's still running.
Launches get a few likes, then go quiet. The boring one that just kept running for 11 years taught me more.

One day of walking, four step counts.
Google Fit 14,720
Samsung 12,363
Huawei 18,573
Byron 11,781
A pedometer is more of an opinion. Now I have to decide whose opinion the game trusts.

A word game you can't play from the sofa.
The letters are on a map around you. Walk to one to collect it. Everyone gets the same word each day.

No ads. Built solo. iPhone and Android.
Drop a screenshot of what you're building and tell me who it's for.
Ugly is fine. Half-built is fine.
I'll start: Byron, a word game where the letters sit on a real map and you have to walk to them.

Hey
@X Algorithm
I’m looking to #connect with people interested in:
• Solo/small team founders
• App Development
• SaaS
• AI / ML
• Data
• Design and UX
• Startups
• Building in public
If that’s you, then let’s connect!
I came here to do kick ass dev and drink beer, and I am all out of beer!
144 posts. 17 followers.
Posting my own product updates to an audience of nobody was a closed loop. New plan:
1. Reply to 10 builders a day
2. Post what broke, not just what shipped
3. Share the numbers, however small
Come and watch.
Solo founders, app developers, anyone building in public: what are you working on right now?
Reply with one line. I'll answer every one and follow back the ones that make me curious.
I'll go first: 7 apps, 1 developer, no marketing budget.
