This yearโs #FarmSafetyWeek offers an opportunity for a real reset in the way we all approach farm safety and risk-taking.
We can't continue to rely on luck โ luck has a habit of running outโฆ

A genuine gentleman.
Smart, articulate, well-mannered and generous with his knowledge.
Regardless of your political allegiances, @Mistadamage would be a great advocate for his electorate.
I donโt often cut out clippings from the paper but @AgandPolitics is so on point with this one (as he is with so many) that it is worth framing! #keepthesheep
@AgribizLiz@BLittlewood9 Workforce are Not Citizens.
Our unemployment levels can not go much lower.
Govt. Are talking about reducing migration, so where do they think the workforce will come from. Are they expecting our exiting farmers to take the jobs๐ค ๐
@AgribizLiz@BLittlewood9 We def need more publicity about the number of Abs that are closed due to financial difficulties. The cost of labour and workforce supply are huge issues they are deliberately not discussing.
High % of workforce are on working Visa's or residency Visa.
Community groups in WA wheatbelt, please consider making a submission to the inquiry into live sheep export ban. A letter will be fine. Explain impact of an industry closing down to schools, sports, and your local show or theatre group. #keepthesheep
@keepthesheepoz@JackOutTheBack Wrong... They can't get enough people to fill the available jobs now.. so how do you think they can put fill another shift?
Most workers are international Visa holders . . Not Australians.
+ There is a housing crisis. So where will these new workers live?
Thought provoking on the trickle on effect shutting down live export could have on the grains industry in WA๐ค
From two independent reports commissioned by the government..
No need to comment if you are not actually in the agricultural industry ๐
@Jess_Grove_ had this conversation a few times in the last few weeks. Great to see your chart.. I can see that Less Sheep will impact all grain and fodder prices negatively.. Definately a big issue for the future of Lupins in the WA wheatbelt where other legume options are already limited.
@MinnieBanniste3 I know that slaughtering an animal for human consumption needs to be fast or the animal produces adrenaline and the meat is ruined. So I would trust their process is quick and efficient. They would suffer far worse from fly strike or a dog attack here in Australia.
Real and Recent Livex footage..

Ethical and sustainable
Impacting the world in a positive way... Keep Australia in the Supply Chain and the whole world benefits...
@MinnieBanniste3 There is a housing crisis right across Australia, so how do you propose we offer more jobs if we can't house people, near their workplace?
@MinnieBanniste3 The abattoirs that exist can not work to their full capacity because they dont have the workers available.. So we certainly do not need to create more jobs in that industry.. The bulk of the workforce are international visa holders, not Australians.
If you run a business and your key supplier says โsorry Iโm only going to supply you for the next 4 yearsโ
Whats the first thing youโd do?? Be looking for a new supplier ASAP. Therefore this isnโt a 4 year phase out, itโs a here and now.
@WheatWatcher@SteveMc19695 Thats a huge rap for the socks @WheatWatcher .. I do Love sharing their goodness with everyone ๐.. Sounds like you might need to roll one up and make it into a stubby holder ๐คฃ
Thatโs my mates t shirt heโs not wearing anymore. Reminder to all about revolving shafts. Only 25 mm of a 19 mm shaft exposed there and whammo.
Watch out.
