The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. But God left out one crucial component: no steering wheel, no sail, and no engine.
Think about how scary that is. Noah built a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it or where it went. He couldn't steer away from rocks, turn into the waves, or aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was designed for floating, not navigation. Noah's job was to be the passenger, not the captain. God was the Captain.
This is your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel on a situation that God wants you to simply float on and allow Him to lead and take control.
This blessed me. I hope it blesses you too. 🙏🏾
Being a Christian is hard. You have to choose to follow Jesus everyday no matter how hard it is. To deny your flesh. To be set apart from the world.
It is not easy. But boy is it so worth it.
When you take a shower, you don't clean yourself before getting in, right? You step in as you are, and the water washes you clean.
It's the same with walking with Jesus, you don't have to clean yourself up first. Come as you are, and let Him do the rest.
They don’t tell you this but your walk with Jesus will be messy. You will break down, you will cry, you will get angry, you will be frustrated, you will deal with doubt, you will deal with unbelief, you’re gonna mess up, you’re gonna do things you later regret. But through all this Christ will not leave you, and you will be sanctified through your trials. So if you were expecting a sunshine and rainbows walk with Jesus you are sorely mistaken. The storms will still come, but you’ll have God with you every step of the way, and your joy will be full when you come to terms with the fact that this is sufficient.
