@Kathleenandron @ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn Which shocks me bc I’m literally on the side of the critics of the law, but disagree only with the logistics of the process & I’m being attacked for it even though I share the same damn point of view on the actual substance, which should be what matters. Even got called a bigot
@Kathleenandron @ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn As far as everyone deserves respect, care, love, kindness, etc. regardless of skin color, who they identify as, who they love, etc., but the nuances of that explanation are for me to have with my kids
@Kathleenandron @ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn No, I don’t, but I was the one to explain that to my kids, as is my parental responsibility. I didn’t have a teacher at a school telling them whatever their opinion is (which varies by individual & school- such as catholic schools). I would much rather educate my kids properly…
@deb_h17 @JerasIkehorn If the law was designed to be discriminatory against a protected class, as you are suggesting, it would be open to constitutional based attacks & would be unconstitutional. It’s not bc it doesn’t discriminate at all, exactly as you later establish in the end of your message
@itsalladream2u @JerasIkehorn Bigot? Geez you must lack basic reading comprehension. I’m sorry the Derek Zoolander School for Kids Who Can’t Read Good wasn’t a real thing for you to attend growing up 🤷🏽♂️
@Kathleenandron @ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn Never said this was happening, but at what age I want to explain same sex marriage, the fact that a boy identifies as a girl, etc. to my kid is quite literally my business, not the school’s.
@PMCraftDsignr @ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn There are less teens doing it, quite literally, over the last 10 years. There’s been literal studies on this lol
@itsalladream2u @JerasIkehorn This only prevents classroom instruction. Let the kids go home & ask their parents. Let their parents explain it to them
@deb_h17 @JerasIkehorn Of their skin, who they identify as, or who they choose to be with? That’s honestly my responsibility as a parent tbh. I’m supposed to raise kind, caring, loving humans who contribute to society positively. That’s not on the school to do for me
@deb_h17 @JerasIkehorn Are you trying to say that as a parent, I have literally no say as to what age I want to have that discussion with my kids & instead, it’s up to whatever school I put them in to educate them about things like why they shouldn’t treat anyone differently for reasons like the color
@deb_h17 @JerasIkehorn What’s the issue with the law applying equally instead of dissimilarly against an already marginalized group? Also, nothing in the law says anything about photos. It prevents CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION only, meaning actual teaching on the subject matter…
@ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn What you’re saying doesn’t even make sense though man. You know that the average age teens become sexually active is 17 & that the amount of teens SA at 13 or under has been steadily decreasing for over 10 years, right? Even at 13, you’re in 8th grade bro
@ayoits_tendo @JerasIkehorn Small example- kids always ask where babies come from, usually early on. We don’t hit them with well mom & dad have sex & that looks like this, then a baby is born. We tell them about the stork or some other fantasy until they’re old enough to understand. This isn’t any different
