“...but everyone is on Shopify.”
We hear this all the time from businesses considering a move to other (and potentially better-fit) ecommerce platforms.
But popularity doesn’t always mean it’s the best choice for your business.
The real question is: what platform actually fits your goals, growth plans, budget, and the level of flexibility you need?
That’s exactly why I made this video.
I just dropped a new YouTube video comparing @medusajs vs @Shopify to help break down the differences.

If you’re building a serious e-commerce app with @medusajs , customizing the admin opens up a world of possibilities.
In this video, I break down how to build custom admin dashboard tools in Medusa, including routes, widgets, UI extensions, and more.

Using parallel routes in your custom @medusajs extensions will save you a lot of headaches. If you’re not using them yet, you probably should be. 🧠
They’re a super clean way to handle complex admin flows without turning your routing into a mess.
I’m putting together a YouTube video on Medusa admin customizations, including parallel routes.
Stay tuned! 🚀

If you’ve been curious about @medusajs but weren’t sure where to start, this one’s for you. 🫵
In this video, I walk through creating your first Medusa project in under 5 minutes. No theory, no over-engineering, just a quick, practical starting point so you can actually see how things work.
Perfect if you’re evaluating Medusa, coming from Shopify, or just want a fast refresher before diving deeper.

Not everything needs to happen at the same time.⏳
Async workflows are one of the most underrated parts of @medusajs .
In this short video, I show how we’re using them on a real client project, plus other scenarios where letting work run in the background makes everything smoother!

Most binocular/outdoor retailers still run on outdated, clunky sites, and inflexible eCommerce backends. 🫤
But this one’s going to be different… cough cough, Medusa. 😊
Here’s a quick preview of a new build, launching soon!

Theres no doubt, adding meaningful filters to your product pages helps shoppers find exactly what they’re looking for, faster. 💨
For a recent client project at @306Technologies , we build a @medusajs dashboard integration allowing admins and non-technical users to easily add product filters and attributes, with help of Algolia!
Want the full implementation guide? Drop a comment below and I’ll share it later this week! 👇

It’s scam season, so we’ve stepped up security for this client... 🔒
This outdoor retailer moves a lot of high-ticket items, GPS units, binoculars, and other gear that’s easy to ship and resell. That also makes them a prime target for fraud.
We implemented 3-D Secure alongside @medusajs payment modules, an extra step from the bank at checkout (a code or bank app confirmation) that proves it’s really you using the card.
The result? Fewer chargebacks, faster approvals, and safer transactions! 🫡

Auto-generate @medusajs product variants in seconds, not hours. Now available on NPM!
Perfect for stores with tons of product options (colors, sizes, materials, you name it). No more clicking through and creating 36 combinations one by one 😅
👇 See comments for the link!
“I had to create 36 product variants manually…”
That was an email I got from a client last week while they were adding new product options in @medusajs.
But, thanks to the modular nature of Medusa.js, you can build literally any customization you want, so I built a custom variant generator widget that auto-creates product variants based on product options.
Now, adding variants takes 1/10th the time it used to. ⚡
I’ll drop a guide this week showing exactly how to build this into your own Medusa store.
What do you think!? 👇💬

The final results are in, and we have a winner! 🏆
Over the last couple of weeks , I built the same store with @medusajs, @getsaleor , and @vendure_io to find the best open-source headless ecommerce platform.
Today, I published the final video, sharing the results (ranked based on a 4-point criteria) and my experience with each platform.
See below for the link to the YouTube video!
Everyone loves their name.... right? 🧐
In fact, personalized promo codes (like “MARK-123”) can increase redemption rates by up to 50% compared to generic codes.
Why? Because it feels like it was created just for you!
This week, we built out a personalized promo code flow for one of our clients. (built on @medusajs ).
✅ Shoppers can sign up to receive a discount
✅ A one-time promo code is auto-generated for each shopper, with specific rules applied.
✅ An email goes out with their personalized code (e.g., MARK-123), which can be auto-applied to their cart with one click.
I’ll keep you posted on how these personalized codes perform compared to the generic ones!
Have you seen personalized codes perform better than generic ones? 👇💬

@medusajs is changing the e-commerce game. Here’s proof. 👇
We just launched a project for an outdoor brand, revamping their online store for firearms, ammo, and outdoor gear.
The project required extensive custom rules, integrations, and features to meet its unique business needs.
Here are some of the features we delivered...
✅ Custom checkout with dynamic shipping + tax rules
✅ AI-powered search with filters & voice search
✅ Favourites & shareable wishlists
✅ Easy content management via Sanity CMS
✅ Built-in support ticket system
✅ Interactive product swatches & advanced filters
✅ PostHog analytics for replays & insights
Proud of what our team built (@306Technologies), and excited to keep pushing what’s possible with Medusa.

Day 6 of 10. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I’m stress-testing @medusajs , @getsaleor , and @vendure_io by building the exact same eCommerce project three times. 💪
Today, I dove into the new Vendure React Admin dashboard. Since it’s still in RC, there were a few features that felt incomplete or missing.
In the next update, I'll be depoying this Vendure project to Railway. ✅
Again, at the end of the 10 days, I’ll share a full breakdown video covering each platform.

Day 4-5 of 10. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I'm putting @medusajs , @getsaleor , and @vendure_io to the test by creating the same eCommerce site with all three.
I spent today on the Vendure project, trying out the new React-based admin dashboard. (which looks great! 🤩)
I also integrated with Sanity CMS, had to do some troubleshooting, but got it working! 😅
The next couple of days are all about Vendure, I'll be working on:
✅ Product variant attributes plugin
✅ Railway deployment
I’ll keep posting daily updates, then wrap it all up with a full breakdown video at the end of the 10 days.

Day 3 of 10. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I’m building the same eCommerce site with @medusajs , @getsaleor, and @vendure_io to compare them head-to-head.
Today, I wrapped up my work with Medusa by integrating Sanity CMS and deploying to Railway.
One of the biggest criticisms of Medusa is the limited options and support for self-hosting. I’ll be testing this myself soon by deploying to a platform like @coolifyio (and I’ll make sure to document the process 👀).
Next up:
✅ Tackling Vendure next week!
I’ll keep posting daily updates, then wrap it all up with a full breakdown video at the end of the 10 days, so stay tuned!

Day 2 of 10. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I’m testing @medusajs, @getsaleor , and @vendure_io head-to-head by building the same store with each.
Today, I worked on implementing product attributes in Medusa. Not gonna lie, it got a bit tricky. 😅
I had to go back through the docs a few times before everything finally clicked!
Next up:
✅ Integrating @sanity_io
✅ Deploying on @Railway
I’ll keep posting daily updates, then wrap it all up with a full breakdown video at the end of the 10 days.

Day 1 of 10. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I’m building the same eCommerce store with @medusajs , @getsaleor, and @vendure_io to find the best platform.
I started off with Medusa, super easy to follow docs, and the AI chat on the docs page makes everything even easier!
Next couple of days are all about Medusa, here’s what I’ll be working on:
✅ Product properties module
✅ Sanity CMS integration
✅ Deploying on Railway
I’ll be sharing daily updates and wrapping up with a video to reveal the final results after the 10 days.
Curious to hear your thoughts...have you worked with Medusa before?

10 days. 3 ecommerce frameworks. 1 winner. 🏆
I'm going to build the same ecommerce store on @medusajs , @vendure_io , and @getsaleor to see which one comes out on top.
Here's the criteria:
✅ Customizability (creating a product attributes module)
✅ Developer experience (docs, setup time, ease of coding, community)
✅ Integrations & ecosystem (integrating Santiy CMS)
✅ Speed & performance (API speed, load handling, Lighthouse score)
✅ Self-hosting capability (self-hosting on Railway)
I’ll share daily updates as I go, and wrap it all up with a full breakdown video at the end.
👀 Here’s what I’m going to build…
