Mulled Cider : For 2 people, mix 60 ml Double Jus, 200 ml Cider, 40 ml Honey, 40 ml Lime Juice, 1 Clove, 1 Star Anise, 1 Cinnamon Stick, 4 Green Cardamom Pods. Pour everything in a kettle and cook softly for 30 min. Serve in a stem glass. Garnish with a long orange peel.

#Calvados casks come in all sizes. The greater the capacity, the higher the volume to surface ratio. Larger casks mean less extraction and slower aging. Each #cask is #handmade, and its actual capacity can vary from one to the other.

#Calvados cellars can be pretty confusing for the trained eye. #spirits used to be shipped to Le Havre in #casks and bottled at port, meaning a regular supply of empty casks was available for use by thrifty Calvados makers across #Normandie.
