@LycanFerret@CaryKelly11 They're both "with canola oil," one's just "light." Probably aerated to be fluffier/ technically lower calorie by having less total product. They do a similar trick with ice cream. Increased air molecules could also make it go stale faster, so it would need to sell faster, too.
@DavidVStewart I think you're onto something. Atom- and Steam-Punk are the failed dreams of rockets and trains, so too does Cyberpunk cope with the failed promise of VR, prosthetics, and World War 3. That last "disappointment" was absolutely good, but it's made things kinda weird and stagnant.
@ShitpostRock Mako energy burned the spirits of the dead to power lightbulbs. That's basically heating your home by burning dessicated mummies. We only did that for a brief time during the Victorian Era, and it was more a novelty than anything. Coal's way more reliable.
@p9cker_girl "The algorithm requires engagement. The algorithm requires a sacrifice."- Civvie 11.
People defend anime in the comments. This counts as engagement, increases watch-time, and lets them sell ads.
It's bait. It's all bait.
@Hitchslap1@ReviewsPossum The Greek myth of Cassandra: She was given the ability to see the future by Apollo, but hexed so nobody would ever believe her. So, yes, it's a mythological curse.
@LumLotus I've never heard of this "tin foil trick"- if anything, metal's a conductor, so it gets really hot, really fast. It can keep in moisture- great for steaming fish in the oven-but metal siding's often seen as a downside compared to, say, sheetrock or foam insulation.
@ShamashAran ...and it looks like I replied to the wrong part of the thread so @japan_nobunaga won't see it anyway, sorry. But, see, now that I know something broke, it's weirdly comforting.
@ShamashAran America is not a land of peace and harmony. There is great opportunity here, but the historical trend is to constantly fall from one disaster to the next. When something isn't going wrong, we get nervous.
This explains a lot, really. "But what about when it breaks?"
@jhon_lawrence1@skoljarev147783 That's because she made a deal with the devil to absorb the last remaining creative writing talent in the Western animation industry. Her name is "Faust," after all.
