For a team whose President of Basketball and Business Operations’ stated goal was to build an “enduring brand like Apple,” the Fever’s failure to understand its own competitive advantage, recognize what the broader market wants, and then put that product on the floor is stunning.
You have to feel bad for whoever runs Fever’s social media, based on the overwhelming negative comments for just doing their job. It’s almost as bad as the poor sap in New England who has to deal with Vrabel-Russini trolling in response to any post.
@clas13989@coachandere6xa Kind of weird that neither her salary nor length of her contract have been disclosed. I guess that’s standard practice for the W.
@bkravitz@RomeovilleKid So Dakich is garbage? From June 2 Don’t @ Me:
“Caitlin Clark's a (complete pain in the ass) diva. I talk to people inside the organization. I got people everywhere. I do…what I’m telling you is 1000% true…that's not me talking. That's a direct quote from people in the Fever.”
@DayDreamThis@MaxxZimonick You are on target. We all had hopes and visions of the Iowa offense on the big stage. That’s simply not White’s system. The 2012 championship team included her, Dunn, Krauskopf, and January. That group is not going to build around Clark, no matter how much we want to see it. Sad.
@robinlundberg Wait…a sound, reasoned take regarding the Fever backed with logic and facts, free from soap opera drama. I am not sure how to react to this article.
@wydsilent NBA Champion Matt Steigenga
Played two games (12 minutes total) for the 1996-97 Bulls. That’s it.

@TheBenDanielPod I wonder which Fever staff member the team has spent more time and effort trying to track down: the source who told Scott Agness that Caitlin would miss the May 20th game as “part of a strategic management plan,” or the source who told Dan Dakich she was a “pain in the ass diva.”
@dandakich “And what I’m telling you is 1000% true.
‘Danny, you called her a complete pain in the ass diva.’ I did. Cause she is, and that's not me talking. That's a direct quote from people in the Fever.”
@dandakich Your words, not mine:
“Like, I don't get this shit off of a bathroom wall, take a piss and say you know what? Caitlin Clark's a diva. I talk to people inside the organization. I got people everywhere. I do. You can make fun of me. Whatever, but I do.”
I guess no one in the press corp is going to ask the Fever who within the organization told Dan Dakich that Caitlin Clark was a diva because they don’t want their credentials taken away à la Scott Agnes.
@MaxxZimonick Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
Incompetence more likely than doing it on purpose.
