Looking into the history of our club. The first ever BSAC branch in Kent was setup by locals who supported the channel crossing of Fred Baldisere in 1959.
BSAC 106 was created by the support of Sam Rocket a past channel swimmer. (106 is now held by BSAC Thanet)
A new swimming pool was also being built in Canterbury. At this point the branch was split into 106 Margate and 326 Canterbury. In march 1969 Canterbury Bsac branch was created.
We have been working hard on a new page for our website. This coves special mention’s of the club that we have found so far. I am sure there are more since the club has been around for more than 50 years. #press#scuba#news#History#clubhistory#bsac#bsacdivers#ukdivers
