VeryDarkMan (VDM) Leads Youths in Massive "Tinubu Must Go" Protest in Abuja
The message from the streets is loud and clear: enough is enough.
Thousands of young Nigerians are demanding accountability, better governance, economic relief, and a brighter future for the nation.
Do not leave the destiny of Rivers State in the hands of others. Register, collect your PVC, and be prepared to vote when the time comes.
Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Your future matters. Register today and be part of the change you want to see.
Sir, Gabriel Pidomson
YOUR VOTE BEGINS WITH YOUR REGISTRATION
The future of Rivers State and Nigeria will not be decided by those who complain the loudest, but by those who are registered and ready to vote.
#Sir Dr Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, KSJI, FNIM, FNIQS, FCMI-UK
If you have changed your residence, lost your Permanent Voter's Card (PVC), or need to update your details, this is the time to do so. Your voter registration is your constitutional right and your strongest tool for influencing the quality of leadership and governance.
As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducts the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, I urge every eligible Rivers citizen—especially young people who have turned 18 and those who have not previously registered—to seize this opportunity and register.
THE PEOPLE'S MANDATE IS SACRED
As Nigeria approaches another electoral season, concerns about vote buying, voter intimidation, electoral violence, and result manipulation remain valid. However, the Nigeria of today is different. Citizens are more aware, more vigilant, and more determined than ever to protect their democratic rights.
The message is simple: the will of the people must prevail.
Any attempt by individuals, political actors, institutions, or vested interests to subvert the electoral process is an attack on democracy itself. Votes must count, results must reflect the true choices of voters, and every stage of the electoral process must be conducted with integrity and transparency.
Security agencies, electoral officials, and all relevant institutions must remain professional, impartial, and committed to their constitutional responsibilities. History will not be kind to those who betray the people's trust for personal or political gain.
Those seeking public office must do so through popular support, not through coercion, intimidation, financial inducement, or manipulation.
Let it be known that any effort to undermine the people's mandate will be met with firm, lawful, and democratic resistance by citizens committed to protecting their votes and preserving democracy.
The Nigerian people are watching. The world is watching. History is watching.
And when the ballots are counted, the only acceptable outcome must be the authentic expression of the people's will.
In a democracy, power belongs to the people, and no force is greater than a united and determined electorate.
Dr. Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson,
ADC Rivers State Governorship Candidate
Enough is enough! Rivers State belongs to its people, not to those who plunder its future. We are taking back our land, our voice, and our destiny.

The Press Conference, convened by the Rivers First Movement, carefully highlighted critical concerns regarding the current “gladiator style” politics in Rivers State, which continues to undermine stability and good governance.
The Movement called for a more dignified, transparent, and people centered approach to leadership, one that prioritizes accountability over conflict and service over personal battles.
In particular, the Rivers First Movement demanded a comprehensive and independent inquiry into the utilization of Rivers State resources from 29th May 2015 to date. The aim is to ensure transparency, fiscal responsibility, and to restore public trust in governance.
Rivers people deserve leadership anchored on integrity, prudence, and respect for democratic principles.
THE STATE OF RIVERS STATE: A CALL TO ACTION. A TEXT OF WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY RIVERS FIRST MOVEMENT, RFM, TODAY MONDAY FEBRUARY 16, 2026 IN PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the press and welcome to this press conference by the Rivers First Movement (RFM).
The socioeconomic and political trajectory of Rivers State has over the years taken a disturbing turn which is a cause for great concern. At its root, has been the deviation from the collective to the individual; the substitution of the “we” for the “I”; the projection of the individual portrait over the larger picture, and the sacrificing of the progress of all Rivers people on the altar of personal political gains and selfish arrogation of the commonwealth of the state.
At no point in our history as a people, since our forebears united across tribal and political lines to push for the creation of Rivers State, have we found ourselves in such a debilitating quagmire. Today, the labours of our heroes past, who fought for and advanced the common patrimony which we all share today have been trampled upon by the treasonable actions of a few self-serving individuals beguiled by fawning voices too timid and acquiescent to speak the truth to power.
Unfortunately, since the inception of this administration, the rate of unemployment in the State has been on the increase indicating the administration’s inability to flatten this catastrophic curve. Today, Rivers State accounts for about 13.4% of the total ‘unemployment’ rate in Nigeria (NBS data).
We must face the truth as Rivers people: The truth is that the wealth of Rivers State has been “cartelized” and commandeered by a few while the vast majority of Rivers people have been subjected and sentenced to penurious living. The truth is that our schools are too dilapidated to serve as places of learning because the future of Rivers Children have been set aside for the primitive accumulation of our collective wealth by a few individuals using politics as a veritable tool.
The truth is that our hospitals are nothing to write home about; the truth is that our streets have become dunghills despite billions budgeted for waste disposal; the truth is that our people are no longer safe in the day or at night; the truth is that our young men and women have been canonized by a failed leadership into a life of thuggery, hooliganism and depravity for survival; the truth is that Rivers State is too big to have its entire existence revolve around the political interests and ambitions of Nyesom Wike and Siminalayi Fubara who have made themselves the dramatis personae for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s sole benefit. The truth is that the crux of their daylight squabbles and nocturnal reconciliations has never been about the interest of Rivers people, this is justified by the Governor’s recent unwarranted dissolution of the State Executive Council so as to keep the details of the agreement with his “Oga” hidden from the people of Rivers State.
The truth is that this house of ours has fallen; and not only has it fallen by the conspicuous actions and failures of leadership over these years, but that it has fallen also because of the acquiescence of the masses of Rivers State in the face of the deliberate sabotage of our collective future by the leadership of this state.
The truth is that the people responsible for the fall of Rivers State believe that they are too wealthy and too powerful and that there is nothing Rivers people can do but we say enough is enough and something must and will be done to salvage Rivers State from the vultures in our midst who have turned our land and people desolate so they can feast on our flesh to their fill.

History will remember who stood for progress and who stood in the way.
This is the time to choose unity over division, vision over vendetta, and the future over selfish interests.
Enough truly is enough.✔️

Enough is enough. This one-family capture of Rivers State must stop now. Our state is not a private inheritance to be shared between a father and his son.
While they fight over power and control, Rivers State is collapsing before our eyes.
The people deserve development, stability, and leadership that puts Rivers first not power tussles that drain the state and punish ordinary citizens. Governance is about service, not family feuds or ego fights.
Rivers State belongs to all of us, not to one family.
Rivers State must move forward.
Enough of the backward pull, enough of personal battles over public destiny.
Roads are failing, institutions are weakened, and hope is being crushed, all because of personal interest over public good.
If the people of Rivers State do not rise now and reject this self-centered power game, the future of our dear state will be completely destroyed.
Our resources are looted, governance is abandoned, and the people are left to suffer. This is not leadership, it is selfish destruction.
The masses are paying the price for the greed and ego of just two individuals.
