A witness says a Bay County Animal Control worker stuck a second needle into a live kitten during its euthanasia, then laughed about it.

Cameron Howard, 36, is charged with two counts of animal cruelty and one count of aggravated animal cruelty.

An anonymous tip said he had been torturing animals and bragging about it.

A witness told investigators he drew fluid from that kitten's stomach, spilled it, then injected it back. The drug paralyzes, the witness says, so the kitten may have felt pain it could not show.

Witnesses say he hit a dog in the spine with a catch pole, and swung another dog, still on its pole, over his shoulder into the ground.

The county fired him Tuesday.

These animals came in needing mercy. Witnesses say they got Cameron Howard.

Imagine. You have a seizure. You fall. You shake helplessly. Your muscles no longer belong to you.

It scares you. When you have regained control of your own body, you go to the ER.

They send you to get an MRI. They hand you a blue gown. You go into a dressing room and take off your blouse and skirt. You slip into the hospital gown. You tie it tightly in the back, but you still feel exposed.

You lay on the table. The room is empty. Then you feel it. The loss of control. Again. Right there on the table. You are alone in the room. You can't move. You can't call for help.

The door creakes open. Help is coming, you hope.

A man enters. He sees you on the table, dressed in nothing but a hospital gown.

Unable to resist.

He sees his opportunity. He unties the gown, exposes you, and does things that I will not mention here. While you cannot move. While you cannot cry out. While you cannot fight back.

Later, you report it. The police contact the hospital. The surveillance footage shows it all. The man is arrested.

Before justice can be done, however, the District Attorney swoops in, like a hero wearing a cape, to save the day.

But not for you. For the man who violated you.

She offers him a plea deal. 30 days in jail. That's all his abuse of you is worth, in her eyes. One month.

This prosecutor says she wants to reduce "unnecessary" punishments.

Apparently she thinks keeping your abuser off the streets is unnecessary.

Now imagine, this experience leaves you feeling vulnerable - feeling even more scared than you were when you went in to the hospital. You know that predator is back on the streets. You think about getting a dog to protect you.

Not so fast.

In your city of Tucson, Arizona, the local government is throwing its whole weight behind an effort to euthanize a dog — a livestock guardian dog — who made a single, isolated mistake and bit a family member while under duress, trying to keep his home and animals safe against coyotes.

One mistake made in the heat of the moment, trying to defend what it holds dear — its family — and the local government is going after it with everything it has.

The man who sexually abused you is walking free, able to do it again, given the opportunity.

Freedom for rapist monsters. Death for dogs defending the vulnerable.

Clay Travis nailed it when he said too many Texans assume Republicans can't lose this state.

That kind of thinking is exactly how Democrats sneak in and steal a Senate seat.

Talarico had the airwaves almost to himself for months, spending big on TV while Ken Paxton was still building his war chest.

Now Republicans are firing back with a $122 million ad blitz, but money alone won't win this race.

Talarico tells Texans he's a moderate, then flies to California and New York to promise rich left wingers he'll block Trump at every turn.

He's running two campaigns, one for us and one for the radicals cutting his checks.

Get out and vote for Ken Paxton, and don't let a liberal fake win Texas.

Well, this is no surprise.
Texas are you paying attention?

Hasan Piker stood in front of a crowd at the University of Texas and talked about what happens if James Talarico wins his Senate race.

According to Piker, the job isn't finished on Election Day.

He said progressives need to keep the pressure on Talarico and make sure he doesn't become another “do nothing Democrat” or return to “business as usual.”

Then Piker said this:
“We have to remind him that we are the force that backed him both early on. We are the force that allowed him to win this seat of power and if he wants to maintain it, he's got to play ball.”

We've already watched Talarico move toward the middle on some issues during this campaign, despite positions he took during his years in the Texas Legislature.
He's running statewide in Texas now, not for his old Texas House district, and he needs to appeal to voters well beyond the progressive base that supported him there.

Now Hasan Piker is openly telling his supporters that if Talarico wins, they need to keep the pressure on him and remind him who helped put him there.

Piker isn't talking about Election Day as the finish line. He's talking about what his movement intends to do afterward.

Keep up the pressure. Hold Talarico accountable. Remind him who backed him.

Piker made himself very clear.
Texans are not going to fall for Talarico's lies!
