Almost inevitably, we will lose this FDI income. Hopefully not soon, and hopefully in a negotiated soft landing type of way. Overall though we can't rely on it planning for the future. Over the next century Ireland will not survive based on Google or TikTok etc, it will survive on native industry. The reclamation of our fishing rights. The preservation of our agricultural sector. The expansion and diversification of our energy sector. The development and utilisation of our natural resources. And anything else we decide we want to pursue.
