now that i’ve had the time to think abt it, let me be positivity fc again… what a season azzi’s had man. drafted #1 to a team with one of the worst records in the league & was immediately disrespected by the coaching staff, still came off the bench to record the highest +/- every single game, played out of position and was minimized in every aspect she was drafted for, and still became the anchor on defense because the vets on the team aren’t capable of it. flipped the season completely around for this team alongside paige, and is still being disrespected despite the numbers. dallas would be at the bottom of the standings once again without her, and this is absolutely a rookie season that needs to be talked about. i’m disappointed for her that she has to go through this, but the end of her season does not need to be the narrative people focus on. effort is everything, and she played with 110% of it every single game… thanks for an incredible year 1, fudd 💐👏
